Just wow. Maybe the best one yet.
The scene in the boardroom was electrifying, and the last scene topped it.

Amazing episode. The boardroom scene was riveting, and Kim tearing a strip off Jimmy at the end was terrific. Just give Rhea Seehorn an Emmy already.

Well that was everything I expected right until the moment where it totally wasn't what I expected.

I assume the marriage idea was so that they would be legally protected from ratting on each other? Or did I read that wrong?

That is very interesting - I did not think of that angle. I also think there were other clues - Kim walked away from her mother who let her down again. Kim is tired of walking away, and wants to take control of her relationships.
I imagine many grifters are sociopaths. Jimmy is not like that. He succeeds because he has empathy. Notice how he acknowledged Viola in the boardroom. Ultimately his empathy will be his downfall.

Is it just a coincidence that there were two AMC vehicles in this episode?

I think it was more the "being the shady lawyer for the mass murdering drug kingpin" thing.

I’m thinking he is put in that position to protect Kim. Like Nacho and his Dad.

I am not seeing that from Saul. He exudes selfishness and hubris. His relationship with Kim seems almost abusive in a way. Ruining her life and then apologizing after.

I don't think he sees it as ruining her life. He sees it as doing whatever he can to help her, no matter the consequences.

I don't see Saul as selfish at all, at least when it comes to Kim. It's just that he always focuses on the result and doesn't care how he gets there. It doesn't really matter to him how many rules he has to break or bend as long as he gets what he wants, and he doesn't seem to realize that people like Kim do care about the methods.
great season as a whole so far. Rhea Seehorn is absolutely amazing.

Is there a better acted show on TV right now? I honestly don't think so. This better bring home some Emmy's at some point.

How Rhea Seehorn Became the MVP of ‘Better Call Saul’
After humble beginnings and a journeyman career, the actress landed a breakout role as Jimmy McGill’s girlfriend Kim Wexler

“What’s going to happen to Kim?” Gould wonders. “That’s maybe the biggest question we’ve got now."

I would put Succession and Homeland up there with impressive casting from top to bottom (in-progress programs). I haven't watched any of the third season of Westworld but it's been flawlessly acted so far, as well.

The last episode of Season 5 is titled "Something Unforgivable".

Lalo is probably going to hire Saul, and Mike and Nacho just set Lalo up to go away. This is going to be awkward, I think. Saul is in a bit of an impossible position. Is this going to lead to a bad end for Kim? I don’t think Mike and Nacho souls kidnap her or threaten her. but maybe the Salamanca’s. Unless Saul forgives Gus/Mike/Nacho if anything bad happened t to her.

That last scene was fantastic. Jimmy started a little tweaked, then got wound up real good, and finished it with lighting shooting out of his fingers. I mean, wow. So good.

Okay. Well, I was way off. I guess that was an easy out for Saul not having to go against Gus/Mike/Nacho and get Lalo out. Weird route though, since they could have used that situation to put Kim in some real jeopardy.
