Power is one of those guys that doesn’t do anything at an elite level. Not special in any way. Kinda like Noah Hanifin. Good guys to have but wouldn’t overpay to get him

I think Giridn is just as good as Hage, and I wouldn't trade them for one another.
At this point, I see 3 'core' future Flames so far:
#1 franchise goalie - Wolf
#1 deencemen - Parekh
1st line scoring winger - Gridin
Unless there is significant gains, I wouldn't trade any of these for any other prospect. The Flames will need as many top-end prospects as possible coming out of the rebuild. So unless someone asks for a trade, I would prefer to keep them all.
Gridin out-produced Hage at the same age in the same league FWIW. He also led his team in scoring by a greater gap. Now they are both scoring at roughly the same clip (small sample sizes, however!), but the AHL is a much more difficult league than the NCAA is. Both players are roughly th same size too.
I would add on top of Kadri to acquire Hage, but Gridin is worth Hage straight across, even accounting for position. I doubt Montreal does either. They need Kadri until Hage can supplant Kadri in their line-up - 2-3 seasons from now. That's what makes Kadri a perfect fit for Montreal.
However, I didn't think Nelson was worth anywhere close to the package he went for. With the shortage of centers right now driving up the price on Kadri, I would expect a similar price that Colorado overpaid for Nelson. I would think a 1st + Top Prospect. Even with Kadri's NTC, I think there will be a healthy bidding war.

So could Hage. I raved about him in his draft year. I think he has top C potential, I would absolutely trade Gridin for him and I think very highly of Gridin.

That's precisely what we need for the left side. A Noah Hanifin.

So, trade Andersson and maybe Kadri and ensure we get the C and LD back that we need.
If we can trade Kadri for Hage (or equivalent) then I would feel a lot better about trading Andersson for Bischel+. (Trading Kadri wasn't on my bingo card so Andersson really needed to go for a potential top 6 C)

All this Hage talk reminds me how we were going to get Mercer + 1st for Markstrom. Temper your expectations folks.

Monkey is other GM's and the fish are the available Flames players, they can't decide who they want but eventually the monkey will drown...OK that was my Darkside.

Who are the fishy teams? San Jose, Seattle, and Vancouver?

Boston and the Islanders too if we're looking for fish-eaters.

Hurricanes are quite disruptive to fish and their habitat.

You didn't get your decoder in the mail? Better ask Sec, I thought he sent them to everyone.
Anyways, made perfect sense to me. And I totally agree, that's what's going to happen.
