I think it's more of a name that was thrown out there as an example of the "type" of player the Flames would be looking to acquire.

I don't like the idea of tinkering with the bottom 6. We finally have it right. I'm scared any little tweak could send the whole thing Jenga-ing down.

At this point just leave things be. Question marks in the bottom 6 are getting answered and that's with Neal out and Lazar has yet to get a game. Stone and Valimaki qre like deadline acquisitions and Goaltending is what it is at this point, have to hope one of them gets hot for the playoff run.

Im trying not to get sucked into the TDL hype and I know the odds are slim and the price would be high, but man can you imagine adding a complete player like Stone to this Flames roster? It'd be like adding another Lindholm into the top 6, he would fit this roster perfectly.

I guess it depends on if buyers are willing to give up a roster player or not.

I'd be thrilled with Duchene here, but I just don't see it happening. Adding someone like Stone to the wing displaces a guy like Frolik who either is traded or puts Mangiapane in the press box for a while. Not that big a deal.

Adding Duchene causes a much bigger trickle down effect would it not? And given Treliving has expressed his concerns for team chemistry, this seems like a move that would disrupt it the most.

Honestly we should be focusing our attention away from the big three (Panarin/Duchene/Stone) . . . I feel like all three are going to command a kings ransom at this point. We should really be going for "under the radar" guys who will play with us next year and bring the hustle in the playoffs.
