I'm also pretty happy that they killed off Dale, he was really starting to piss me off. The only real problem I had with this episode was how long they dragged on the decision making for, oh and also I was hoping that Carl would have been ripped to shreds by that swamp zombie so for me, those were the two most disappointing parts of this episode, but aside from that, it was a pretty decent episode.

I've also really started to hate Carol in the recent episodes, and along with Carl, I'm hoping both are killed soon. For some reason, I've started to like Hershel, and I wish T-Dog would take a larger role because I want to see him do something.

This show is quickly turning into a show I really watch and enjoy to one of the better ones on TV. The ending tonight was fantastic. I didn't see that coming at all and I loved it.
Do people honestly not like Carl?
At first I didn't, when he was shot earlier I hoped he wouldn't make it, but he is becoming a dark twisted little bugger and it's cool.
Another good episode.
Also, I can't be the only one who avoids the next episode previews, I'd prefer spoiler tag talk for those.

I was hoping the kid was going to shoot the prisoner.

So judging by the clip for next week is Lori going to start re-considering her feelings towards Shane? The scene with her telling Rick "its ok" seemed a bit strange, like she was saying one thing and thinking something else. Or maybe I'm misreading the whole thing.

If you watch the first little bit of Comic Book Men they always have a clip, or an extension of clip for next week.
This time it looks like a larger group are going to drive Randall somewhere. When T goes to get him from the shed he's escaped, looks like he really buggers up his own hands to get out of the cuffs.
I can see Carl becoming a real dark horse, a mini-Shane...

That's what I love about this show, they're focusing less on the gratuitous zombie violence (still enjoyable when it does happen) and more on what the dynamics between the living might be like if a zombie apocalypse were to ever happen. How does an impressionable young boy develop when the role models in his life start to lose their humanity? Do men with strong morals like Rick and Dale have a place in a world where survival is of utmost importance? Bring on next week!

No I don't think you are, I got that sense too. For me it goes back to what Shane said to Rick in the previous episode: "I don't think you can keep them safe." She might see Rick's hesitation to kill the kid more as weakness than compassion and start to question whether or not Rick can keep her and Carl safe.

I also agree that promos for next week should have spoiler tags. Especially with the amount of clips being released before an episode and how spoilery some of those promos can be.
Don't understand the mindset on here of someone disliking a character and hoping/complaining they are not dead yet. The show has done a great job of not making the characters or this world black and white. Everyone is flawed, their weaknesses and strengths on display. I'd much rather see the arc of Carl and how the only young mind on the show will be shaped with everything that is happening in front of him. The complexity of each character is really coming through and I feel invested now after seeing the different sides of them.

The writing was on the wall for Dale when he said that killing the prisoner would change the group when talking to Shane. Just a little surprised it happened so soon though.

*spoilers*
Dale was an absolutely awesome character and what a way to go. Amazing performance and an amazing episode. I thought this show would turn boring but this is good stuff.

Just finished with the episode via PVR and wow what an ending. I'll spare the details as I'm sure a few people haven't watched it yet (what are you doing reading this then? get to watching!) but this show is such an adrenaline rush every week. Was as shocked as I've ever been with any ending to any TV episode. *slow clap*

Dale's goofy eyes bugged me. Yay!
Yah, I'm that shallow.

RIP Dale, you were starting to annoy me lately, but in reality, you had a good heart.
Stupid kid Carl, I too was hoping he would be torn to shreds by the walker. His fault that Dale is dead now. Hope this kid dies asap, never liked him from the start. Although I know he wont be killed off, but I am hoping.
Lori, still stupid as ever. Worst mother in the world, hope she dies too asap. Carol, could care less about her living. Also, I wish they would stop talking about sophia(ya im heartless), as I never cared whether she lived or died. I would have gave up the search long before they found her.
I still love Shanes character, Darryl too.

Too bad i don't think they could ever portray the real Carl like in the graphics. I don't think TV people would let them.

Yay. the 2nd most annoying character is toast. That scene in the house was terrible, or rather Dale's acting. Now they just have to off Lori sooner rather than later.
It's too bad Dale was so annoying in the show. In the comic he is so much better and the way he died was epic.

Dooooood, RIP Dale, RIP. I CAN'T believe they killed off a major character like that and so out of the blue! Amazing episode. Zombie cow made me LOL. MooOOOooOoo! I think that had to be the first example of an animal zombie we have seen, no? Can't believe Dale didn't sound the alarm right then and there. I know he didn't have much time but if you come across a cow that has clearly been attacked by zombies that close to the farm I'd be quite concerned.
So is the comic book done? Or is that still being written? Just curious as to how long they can do this show for.

I guess I am in the minority, but I didn't find Dale that annoying. Seeing as he was the only conscience of the group, I am not sure who will really take on that role, now that it seems Hershel doesn't care, and Rick is being manipulated by Shane to some degree.
Carls' turn to the darkside seems a bit forced and contrived. Where did this even come from?
