I hear ya. It's VERY rare that I'm one of the first people to own a new piece of technology. I usually end up waiting till the last moment to get something, only to find out a newer version has just been released.

The only thing that pisses me off about this delay is that the Canadian iPad App Store is probably going to be delayed so I'll have to keep using my US iTunes account to get the majority of my apps.

No kidding. I hate how I have to log into two different accounts when I update my apps. I bought half of them from the US when the App Store first launched.

I'm heading to San Deigo on friday. Trying to decide if I should buy one of these. To be honest since I already have a touch and a laptop I'm having trouble justifying it.

I've seen people charging almost $1000 for them. Whether or not they're selling for that cost is a whole other story. Plus you're pretty restricted on how much $ worth of goods you can bring back. Its a shame because I wouldnt mind putting a few of these on my line of credit and bringing them back with me.

Legally you can only bring $750 worth of stuff back. It sucks because I wouldnt mind helping silentsim out.

Yeah.

It's not a "restriction" per se but more of a tax free exemption limit.

Anything over that amount you declare and pay GST + duties if applicable on.

Yeah the allowance periods are for tax free stuff, and it differs on how long you are in the USA (ie 1 week gets around 750$ tax free)

Yeah you can bring back as much as you want, you just have to pay.

And if you don't bring back some, you may also have to pay.
