Brad Treliving will be #1. Letting 3 100 point players walk in 3 years is amazing.

Had a post typed up defending Rhett Warrener assuming he said something on Barnburner that offended but now I realize you're talking about a poster on here

If the Canes want to knock off the Panthers, Kadri would become for them.

I can see him being more of a Joe Pavelski type player later in his career than someone who's game falls off a cliff.

I see him comparable to a Mike Richard's or Wayne Simmonds type. Really hard style they play, and it takes a toll on you.
Both those players and a lot of others like them declined rapidly at around Kadri's age. I think he's about to fall off a cliff. That's why I am so adamant that we need to move him while he still has value, along with wanting a rebuild.

Actually the real Rhett agrees with me as well. You either need to go all in, or let all your aging assets go. If you don't, you're just treading water and not really trending towards becoming a contender.
And I know rebuilding is no guarantee at future success. But the alternative imo gives you no chance at a cup. Again, my opinion and I know a few people on here disagree strongly.

if the general point is no one beats father time and 35 is an age where fall off is generally going to happen I'm not going to disagree ,
however not sure I see those 2 are ideal comps
Mike Richards had his last 20 goal season at 26, Simmonds at 30. Kadri has had 4 since turning 30 including a career high at 34

It's not that most people disagree with you. It's the fact you continuously bang the rebuild drum when it's just not going to happen.
I would quietly love to go that route. But when you have a 23 year old stud goalie and multiple vet NMC's blocking trades, what else can you really do but retool on the fly.

But you don't need to trade everyone THIS YEAR. He doesn't want to move. And they don't need to trade him this year. Patience.

I agree Kevyn should at the very least be tied for 1st.
That guy since hired has done NOTHING but lose good pieces and somehow still keeps his job.
