You are entitled to your opinion, but IMO you are way off on this one.
The Canucks posted a 16-8-3 record vs the other top 10 teams. 7-4-2 vs the top 5 teams in the NHL in pts%, and 9-4-1 vs the next 5 teams. Only the Rangers did better vs that group. Yes the regular season is different and they maybe are a little raw in playoffs experience, but your are underestimating their ability to compete with the best. They play with a very sound structure and have some high end talent.
I won't comment/defend much on the Oilers, but they were the 1st or 2nd favourites in betting odds to win the cup (at many Vegas establishments) at the start of the playoffs.

This was strictly because of their path to the WCF. Not because they are the 1st or 2nd best team in the playoffs.

And because of how badly they get overhyped because they have the league's Golden Boy. Every single year.
They look dangerous on the powerplay but look pretty mediocre when they have to play 5 on 5.

LOL Bieksa and Friedman are not "friends". They're colleagues who spend time together because of the dynamics of their work. Certainly not "friends".

Pissy is questionable to play in Game 2 due to "cramping" issues. They're really leaning into these cramps

lol, I hope we see how they do against Dallas or Colorado I really do but we all know the Oilers are frauds
Vancouver was pretty fortunate to get by Nashville, post on an EN was probably the series. Pacific bracket was a joke, thank the Ducks.

They were almost certainly only the 6th best team in the Western Conference.
Dallas, Colorado, Winnipeg, Healthy Vegas, Vancouver, all clearly better than Edmonton, and one could argue Nashville was playing just as well going into the playoffs as well.

any team that can win a series using three goalies, the main one being from the AHL with a handful of NHL games is both fortunate and probably better than they look

You took a wrong turn at Golden. Canucks forum is the other way.

This is not true. Betting odds are set by probabilities and then line moves slightly by amount of bets coming in.

Apparently Vancouver was the last team to have to do it as well… 20 years ago… difference is they were facing a much better team, a team that would go on to arguably win the cup. Nashville wasn’t anywhere close to that level.
But then again, neither are the Oilers, so while Vancouver will get rightly dummied in the conference final, they should be able to stick it out and embarrass Oiler fans everywhere.
