So much for the Jays doing anything this year.... Only partially joking. I wouldn't be surprised if we finished 10+ games back at the end of the year, it fits with the last 20 years.

Kawasaki/Tolleson is just not cutting it at 2B anymore. It's fine to have this hole in the lineup when everyone is healthy, but now that injuries have hit it's made their lineup glaringly weak at the bottom of the order. The fielding has taken a major dive too.
I might even say the priority needs to be getting an infielder now even more than pitching help. The Jays won't stay in this thing much longer with their current infield.

8 hits and can't push a run across. Frustrating.

Daniel Murphy from the Mets would be ideal and there are reports he's on the block.

If AA and Rogers aren't opening the vault for some offensive bench depth, along with the pitchers required, always needed for a run, they're going to lose a lot of fan equity they've built up last year and now again this year. As close as they're going to get, can't let it get away from them.
5 hits in 12 innings against today, and a 1-0 loss.
1 run for them in past 21+ innings. Without Lind and Lawrie, bats looking more then a little tepid and the guys they're bringing up aren't MLB'ers that are going to be counted on for a Fall division race.

How can you pull the plug when you are tied for first in a division with not one strong contending team?

I am getting to close to writing off the Jays. But that may because I am in a bitter mood.

That about sums up the difference between the Jays and A's, A's do all the little things right. Tracking down fly balls into the stands, hitting the cut off man etc. I wish they'd get rid of Gibbons and get someone that actually seemed interested.

So you blame Gibby for his players not executing fundamentals?

Jays are done, go back to enjoying summer, they had one hot streak and have been poor the rest of the season

Partially, yes. It's his job to have the team focused every night.
