Brodie is far more likely to be invited than Monahan IMO

You are wrong. Unless he has a nagging injury I can't see any rookie turning down a spot with Team Canada.

Go to Belarus or use the offseason to blow the $250G's I just earned with my 20th goal?
Good thing I don't have to make these decisions

He will still have lots of time to do whatever he wants during the summer either way.

Yeah, I feel the same. Unless he has a nagging injury that he needs to rest up for I'd like to see the younger players go to this tournament. It's good for the younger kids to keep play, new situations, new teammates etc. For the older guys I never cared much, couldn't care less if Giordano goes but for Monahan, yeah, go.

I posted this tweet earlier today on this very subject:
Stephen Whyno @ SWhyno 7 hrs
# Flames ' Sean Monahan says he has thought about playing for Canada at world championships. "It's in the back of my head."

Really depends on how you look at it. "Go to Belarus and get to play fun hockey and experience a totally different country, and then party through Europe with some other hockey guys while I blow my $250Gs I just earned, or just stay home and blow my $250 Gs."
I would bet if he gets invited, he will go. Few players at that age ever turn down an invite from Team Canada, as long as they are feeling healthy.

Plus I have a feeling Monahan is not the type of guy to blow $250G's during a summer.

I said congrats to Joe Colborne on his 28th point, he said thanks Monny! I said April Fools Joe, you only have 27 points.

Not sure if this was already posted.

After he gets a Scotiabank or TD endorsement deal in his mid 20's he's going to look back on this first one and laugh. Or facepalm. Or both.

Good lord, I assumed that was from Ottawa in junior last year.
Congrats on the 20th goal and that bonus, a new house for the parents won't force you to do that again, Sean.

42 is Cundari, 43 is Breen...and the third is 41 not 4, and that's Billins.
