How great is it that our cupboard is deep enough that guys like Arnold and Kulak fly under the radar and are "underrated"? Nice feeling.
Hope some of these guys can crack the Flames lineup some day.
I really like Kulak, but most of these guys will be wash-outs at the pro level. It's just the math. It's incredibly tough to go from being a junior player to being a pro, even if you're a great junior player. Mitch Wahl's a great example.

I think Wahl is only an example of how your career can be altered in a millisecond by a thunderous hit.
Wahl looked great when he first broke in then was knocked into next Tuesday, missed close to a year and never recovered mentally.
I think Bryan Cameron, Dustin Sylvester or Akim Aliu fit that bill much better than Wahl.

It would be nice if Poirier and Arnold could slot in as the 1/2 RWs, but it's probably unlikely. Realistically for one of them to become a top 6 player would be huge.
Arnold is a great prospect but I have such a tough time evaluating college prospects. I find its a much different game compared to the CHL. Also seems the transition from CHL to AHL/NHL is much easier. I hope I'm wrong cause his size and positioning is great.
Emile Poirier scores his 33rd goal of the season just 23 seconds into the game vs Sherbrooke to set a new personal record in goals (he had 32 in 65 games last year). Gatineau is now up 2-1 early in the 2nd

Yea, I remember during Wahl's first pro-season he played one pre-season game with the Flames. Stajan got hurt during the game and Wahl put up 3 points or something like that. He was still sent down during the first set of cuts though. I really wish Sutter had given him more of a chance before sending him down, who knows what would of happened.

Wahl is an example of how horrible concussions can be during your development.
The Avalanche's Joey Hishon appears to be heading the same path as Wahl after being crushed by McNabb a few years back.
