That's all at home on the economy front, huge success. But even globally, has the US ever been inarguably stronger?
- Resurgent NATO with USA undisputedly in the driver's seat. Not even much discomfort or rattling from France.
- Former nearest peer in global security has undergone almost total destruction of their military capacity in a proxy war. No real potential path to rebuilding.
- "Ascendent" economic peer currently dealing with massive economic turmoil. No immediate path to certainty or reestablishment of economic hegemony in near markets.
Not only is the USA's economy a pretty lonely beacon leading the charge, but their relative power globally is now essentially unmatched. If anyone has made America great again it is no doubt Joe Biden.
I truly think they're in such a great position that they're going to finally tell us about aliens and ####.

China's influence is an open question. They have previously bought influence. The example of "middle east peace" where they recently brokered a security arrangement between Iran and SA is probably the most interesting development in global politics this year.
However, IMO they are teetering on a cliff for global influence right now. They're not seeing returns as they had hoped on their B & E investments in Africa, and politically they are actually eroding some capital in trying to extort with these investments. Locally they are in a worse position than they have been in a decade; saber rattling with Taiwan has increased pressure from Vietnam and the Phillipines over exclusive ocean rights for fisheries. Japan and Korea are even talking about heightened security agreements, still infantile, but considering the history between those nations it is pretty remarkable and clearly anti-chinese in nature. Japan seems to be inching NATO closer and closer to the idea of adding China to the #### list as well.
Economically, China is struggling. Unemployment among youth has never been higher, there are multiple domestic movements underway against living/ working conditions, and their foray into free market economics has led to some massive liabilities emerging (like evergrande.) Not to mention they have struggled with now two years of massive droughts effecting their key river networks. The Yangtze was running dry in middle china last year.
I think we would be hearing a lot more about China struggling if not for ongoing collapse of Russia.

Comparing a completely legal situation (private interests making decisions that help their businesses flourish) to a clearly illegal and unconstitutional one (the unification of power under the executive branch of the government and elimination of the checks and balances designed into the mechanisms of governance) is a really piss poor attempt to throw shade. I expected a better more thought out effort from an elephant.
Yeah, if Rudy’s not charged, he’s flipped. I was hoping for him to be indicted and tried, but this is a good consolidation prize if he helps bring down Trump.
While Jan 6 is certainly worse than the hush money election fraud, and as far as we know more tangibly detrimental than the confidential documents, I wasn’t expecting Trump to be directly charged on this one. Publicly available evidence is difficult to directly attribute to Trump to a legal standard, and I can imagine he had layers of buffers that would allow him to be slippery from any charges.
What I’m taking away is that there must be a large amount of incriminating evidence that is not yet publicly known.

Rudy is a used up sock puppet. He's going to be disbarred and he's lost any remaining credibility or public dignity after the 4 seasons/ show polish sweat time period. Even among hard liner conservatives he's an embarrassment. Sending him to prison for the remainder of his life basically only serves some meek retribution for his actions, so him not being charged for this IMO is not really a loss. It's not like he has the ability to do any more harm if out.
The Republican would be 2020 electors in Michigan all charged with multiple crimes related to falsely signing that Trump had won the election there in 2020.
