Alex Edler signed with the Canucks.

A 1 day retirement contract.

Let’s start with 60 points and go from there.

But with less talent around him, it seems unlikely he will reverse course.

Thanks for the news round-up. Almost forgot Berube is in Toronto now.

Also, Seravelli should be saying "surprised noted piece of human excrement De Angelo didn't sign in giant bag of human excrement (Edmonton)"

Give them a day or two. Shelbyville is celebrating that they snagged the wonderful people who were accused of harassing Erik Karlsson's wife. Their dbag quota has been met for the day.

The only one I remember going that long is Nylander.

What a weird comment. What if they are 0-10 to start.

Public comments like this don't help. Kind of sophomoric by sweeney.

Now there is a war of words about Swayman between Sweeney and Bissonette/Whitney. It's getting touchy.

Korpisalo will surpise a lot of people if he's the starter, with the structure that the Bruins play he'll post good numbers. Swayman will fall in line eventually.

The Sweeney/Swayman relationship has likely been damaged a while, atleast since his arbitration case last summer.

Swayman at the All-Star game in February:
“After dealing with what I did this summer with arbitration, hearing things that a player should never hear, it feels pretty special to be in this situation.”

Not sure if Seravelli was trolling Flames fans on Flames talk but he said he thinks the Flames will finish with 94-85 points (potentially as high as a 13 point improvement but an improvement for sure in that range).

I have a hard time seeing a team that sent out

Lindholm
Markstrom
Mangiapane
Hanifin
Tanev
Zadorov

And brought in the following guys to replace them

Kuzmenko
Mantha
Wolf
Bahl
Miromanov
Pachal

I have hard time seeing that team make such an improvement on last years result.

This year, the lower in the standings, the better.

At the time of the trade with what we knew the moving Ullmark made sense - he was older, likely more expensive goalie.

But knowing now that Ullmark really wanted to stay in Boston, and that the relationship between Swayman and Boston is super fractured...no idea why the didn't sell high on Swayman and keep Ullmark.

Wonder if this means he's on the trade market...1 year and $825k is extremely cheap and feels like a bit of a "we're going to move him" signing for a guy that has 38 points in the 72 NHL games he's played over the last two seasons.

If that organization is down on him then I'd love him as a Flames player.

Oiler fan boy telling Flame fans they will finish high when they are rebuilding, of course hes not trolling.

We know this team's luck. Korpisalo will start and he'll be lights out.

If Korpisalo goes lights out and Ullmark struggles I do wonder how that impacts the Swayman negotiation?

I have the feeling Ullmark is going to be somewhat similar to Brian Elliott as a Flame. A great tandem goalie on a powerhouse defensive team but will struggle when given he clear cut number 1 job

Downhill ever since his stink with the Flames. He is still playing.

All that talk of that 14/15 Flames teams and its crazy how many guys fizzled out pretty the season after. 1-2 lackluster seasons and out the league.

Hulder
Wideman
Coloborne
Glencross
Jones
Bouma
Jooris
Raymond
Bollig
