I see this as good news. Most people already reject the terrorist group. Palestinians also rejecting them means we might see a change there. Change can hopefully bring long term peace and stability to the region.

A Palestinian artist and photojournalist who is the protagonist of a documentary due to premiere in Cannes in May has been killed in an Israeli air strike.

Fatima Hassouna died with nine members of her family in a direct strike on their home in Gaza City on Wednesday.

Direct strikes on journalists’ homes, murdering medics and paramedics - the brazenness of these attacks now is insane while the world has turned their attention to Trump.

“The Israeli army said it bombed the house because there was a Hamas officer in there, which is totally false. I know the whole family. It’s nonsense. It’s just so devastating.”

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said a new offensive in Gaza will be an intensive military operation aimed at defeating Hamas that would involve moving the population of Gaza. He stopped short of detailing just how much of the enclave’s territory would be seized following earlier reports that Israel could aim to capture the whole of the Gaza Strip.

Two Israeli officials said earlier today that Israel’s security cabinet had approved a plan to capture all of the Gaza Strip and remain there for an unspecified amount of time. The two officials said the plan would involve the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to southern Gaza.

Watching a report right now where food security experts are warning that Gaza is at a critical risk of famine because Israel still has blockades setup to the region, blocking food from entering. 57 children were recently confirmed as having died due to malnutrition as per a UN report.

Since the aid blockade began on 2 March, 57 children have reportedly died from the effects of malnutrition, according to the Ministry of Health.

If the situation persists, nearly 71,000 children under the age of five are expected to be acutely malnourished over the next 11 months.

Israel also targeted and struck a burn unit in a medical complex yesterday, successfully killing 2, injuring 11 and reducing the number of beds that could be used to care for patients.

Turning to attacks on health care, Dr. Peeperkorn said that the burn unit of Nasser Medical Complex in the southern town of Khan Younis was reportedly hit by an Israeli airstrike on Tuesday, killing two and injuring 12. The attack has resulted in the loss of 18 hospital beds in the surgical department including eight “critical” intensive care beds.

Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip killed at least 103 people overnight and into Sunday, hospitals and medics said, and prompted the main hospital in northern Gaza to close as Israel intensifies its war in the territory that, after more than 19 months, shows no signs of abating.


More than 48 people were killed in airstrikes in and around the southern city of Khan Younis, some of which hit houses and tents sheltering displaced people, according to Nasser Hospital. Among the dead were 18 children and 13 women, hospital spokesperson Weam Fares said.


In northern Gaza, a strike on a home in the built-up Jabaliya refugee camp killed nine people from a single family, according to the Gaza Health Ministry's emergency services. It's easy to rationalize if you deem the mere presence of Palestinians in Gaza as a threat to Israeli security. They'll tell themselves that these young Palestinians will grow up to be terrorists, the elders will aid them, and the government structure shelters them. So it makes sense to remove them all.

After that conclusion, everything is justified.
