Really hoping for Larsson today. Perfect 4th line centre.

Hope he keeps banging it.
Lucic - Larsson - Lewis looks great to me.
I just don't know what to do with Monahan or Dube in that scenario. Based on his recent play, Dube should really be playing up in the line-up (maybe with Backlund and Coleman?).

Not sure what makes that line appealing or more so than what the Flanes already have but I'll do some research on the guy as I don't think you're alone in that opinion

First Line Centre

Really hoping that we get Rakell and an upgrade for the 4th line centre (Sorry Monny).
I think we have great depth on D and don't need to find something here.

I like him because he has very strong defensive and possession impacts at a very low salary cost.
But I acknowledge that having Monahan on the roster makes it very awkward to add Larsson. And I'm pretty torn on the idea of moving Monahan right now.

If they are going to upgrade on Monahan (doubtful they can afford it IMO) would really like to see Andrew Copp or Paul Stastny in that slot.
Still expect a LS Dman by days end. Haydn Fleury woud be a great fit but likely to expensive asset wise.

Based on recent play, Lucic should be munching popcorn and Lewis should be on the ice only when we're killing penalties, and that might be a stretch. Both players have not looked good of late.

Would Chara want to go to the west coast? I thought he was very against that.
Although I suppose he'd likely be willing for a couple month playoff run, since his team is going nowhere this year.
Good pickup for whomever gets him.

Perrault as well, recently cleared waivers so provides some flexibility.

Kulak sighted at Habs practice today.
Flames have a practice scheduled for 10:30AM MT today. Who will pull a Wideman and troll the media?

Unfortunately, I have come to a point where monahan is an obvious weak link on the roster. Him and lucic together are regularly getting pinned in their own zone, of late. Lucic has been brutal but brings a physical/intimidation element to the line up. Monahan on the other hand, now that he's been demoted to PP2, has become basically useless.
The ideal 4th line, in my opinion, for the role sutter wants from them, would be :
Lucic - Richardson - Lewis
Ritchie
Now, can we upgrade Richardson with someone who plays that heavy forecheck, strong defensive play, but with a touch more offensive touch?

Chara and Clutterbuck. Chara has looked bad but I think he would be a decent #7 guy to only play when he has to. Clutterbuck would be good to replace Lewis IMO.

Perreault would be an excellent depth C.
Playoff experience, some grit. Gets under the skin.

I believe in the Jays.

If we can move Monahan without eating much salary we should do it... I think he's cooked and can probably be replaced by Ruzicka without negatively impacting performance. We need that cap space for Johnny and Chucky extensions.
