Sometimes (but not this time) it's to get Lindholm playing centre. Other time posters just think Tkachuk needs to play on the top line. Me, I don't see why you mess with it other than a temporary shakeup.

I think Lindy would be an elite #2C of the Bergeron ilk. I also think Backlund would be an elite #3C of the Jordan Staal (in Pittsburgh) ilk.

Chucky as a #1RW becomes a 50G threat.

But we need another RW on Lindholm’s line to make it all work.

I know this may be a bit selfish, but I really really hope teams don't make ANY trades until Monday. after travelling for the last 2 weeks, I'll be wfh on Monday, and nothing more I'd like to do is be working in front of the tv or with the radio on hearing about actual transactions thru-out the day!

I actually want the opposite. If Tre is going to pull off a big move. Do it before the deadline so players have time to adjust into Calgary. Less growing pain time the better.

I’m guessing the weekend is when most deals will get done. The dominos will start falling after one of the big fish goes.

F#$# the sharks, they need to be in on every trade. Would like to see the Flames strengthened, but very wary of overpaying, as I think Treliving is also, playing it carefully, and things I am sure are done with the idea to win, but with expansion implications to.

14 years since the lockout and Eklund's name still get's brought up....What was his real name again, Dwayne Kessel or something like that. Failed Musician from what I remember. I think Reg had a gif showing him getting that whacked him in the head back about 14 years ago.

I wouldn't believe anything of his still.

Jones has not been good for them - in 45 games, he has a 0.896. Look at yesterday against Boston where the Sharks out-shot the Bruins 38-20, but lost 6-5. While it's Eklund and it's undoubtedly garbage, the Sharks need to upgrade their goaltending in the same way the Flames need to. Nothing sinks a team in the playoffs like a sub-.900 save percentage.

Martin Jones is not good this year.
