All the pain and heartbreak from Australia was worth it. Rafa learned how to play over 4hrs from his loss at 2012 against Novak, he learned how to finish it out after he couldn't do it in 2017 against Roger.
21.......he's won 21 ####ing Grand Slams are you kidding me! Not too bad

Feel pretty bad for Medvedev after that... losing is one thing but losing a 2 sets to 0 lead in a final of a major is... yeesh.

I heard he was pretty down in his presser. I can honestly see him winning multiple AO and US Open titles, he is the best hard court player right now.
He basically gave a supervillain origin story - the short version is, "I dreamed of being one of these guys, I worked and clawed my way up and earned my spot, and every time, you people pushed me back down. Today was another day that I made my way up to the top only to be disappointed by what I found there. Well, the kid has stopped dreaming. From now on, I am playing for myself, and for Mother Russia." It sounded like a guy turning heel in pro wrestling.
Say what you want about Daniil and his style of tennis, he never fails to entertain as a human being.

Here's some of the presser that CHL alludes to above...

Oh, #### off Nike. No, the slam count does not mean he stands alone as the GOAT. That is not the deciding factor. There is plenty of debate.

Seeing a bunch of asterisk related articles popping up - Here's the thing - Who says Djokovic would have won if he played? The last two major tourneys he has played in he got humiliated by Zverev and crushed by Medvedev. Yeah, I realize he has won 9 Aussie Open's, but nothing is guaranteed when you take the court.
