Seahawks cannot hold leads in the 4th. Season would be mighty different if they did.

As predicted, defense did all they could to get Seattle back in the game. On offense , Lynch carrying piles...and that's the only player worth niting. Wilson no answers, improvising more than planning, then mailing dumb passes like Hasselbeck did in his twilight years.

End of the good times for Seattle. Wilson has regressed and their O line is just so bad.

NFC Standings are fascinating. Packers and Falcons hold the wildcards at 6-3

No teams are 5-4 and SIX teams are 4-5 (Redskins, Eagles, Bears, Bucs, Seahawks and Rams). Redskins and Eagles can still win the division, the others cannot.

Yep, definitely not unexpected news. The writing was on the wall about being on thin ice when they brought in Dennis Allen to "assist" in the off-season.

It's too bad as I really like Ryan's personality and was hoping they'd turn in around under him. But when you're allowing basically 50pts a game consistently over a month, something's gotta give. Not that I expect anything to get better this season on D, but it really can't get any worse. How could it?

Is he any worse than:

Jim Caldwell
Jim Tomasula
Jason Garrett
Ken Whisenhunt (fired now)
Chuck Pagano
Gary Kubiak
Bill O'Brien
Chip Kelly
Lovie Smith
Gus Bradley (may tough to judge because of the crap team he has)
Mike Mccoy

There are a lot of crappy coaches in the NFL right now. I am not sure if it is because colleges can pay so much now that it is a viable option in which you get complete control so more guys are going that route and/or staying there.
But there are some truly awful coaches in the league right now and many of the others (Pettine, Reid, Mularky, Gruden, Campbell) probably deserve to be on the list above as well.

What is odd is that there is a good mix of crap re-treads (Smith, Kubiak, Caldwell, Whisenhunt) and young "hot" co-ordinators (Mccoy, O'Brien, Bradley) so hard to blame one way to approach hiring.

Sounds like Osweiler will start next week in Chicago for the Broncos for sure. Manning week to week with a torn fascia in his foot.

They should've started Osweiler yesterday for the same reason.

It sounds odd saying it, but I would have prefered Manning.... glad Osweiler got some work in this week though, at least a little bit of tape would help.

you all know what the solution is.

Denver should sign Brett Favre so he can regain his passing yards record.

Brees and Brady are 12,000 and 15,000 behind Manning. Brees is 36 and Brady is 38. I think Brady will play longer than Brees.

Eli and Ben will certainly get to the top 10.

It's a strange year in the NFL. Only 11 teams with better than 500 records when everyone has played 9 games, and a few teams are at 10. There are still 15 teams with a positive point differential, so that tells me a lot of teams are able to really beat up on the bad teams, but not compete with the better ones.

Is Atlanta going to hold their 2nd wild card spot, really if they win 3 more games who can take it from them? Someone has to win the NFC East, it should be the Giants, but will they be any better than 8-8.

I look at Carolina's remaining schedule and think, these guys might just go 16-0. That's not a 16-0 caliber team to me...but they have a shot.

There will be two Division winners who finish no better than 8-8 and it's likely that even the 2nd wild card teams will only have 9 wins. Meanwhile there could be 4 teams with 13-14 wins.

I feel like the NFL has instructed the refs to allow holding against Watt because he gets held/tackled/tripped on 75% of plays.
