Most line projections here have Pospisil and Lomberg on the 4th line, but I don’t see the coaching staff putting the only two players with real jam on the roster together on the same line. I think Pospisal will play higher in the lineup.
The wild card is Mantha. They’ll probably try him in the top six. But if he’s not productive right out of the gate, he likely gets bumped down the lineup, like he was at his last two stops.

With how much its been said they got Mantha to "get Huberdeau going" I expect those two will joined at the hip for a ton of the season. He'd have to be very awful to drop, and thats absolutely a possibility.

I want to see Lomberg with Huberdeau, and Kadri on their wing
Mantha with Zary and Klapka
Coleman with Coronato and Popsicle
Sharangovich with Backlund and Weegar
Then defense lines up as follows:
Andersson - Hanley
Kuzmenko - Miromanov
Bean - Ball
Extras: Rooney, Aspirot

would love to see Stromgren take a step, and get slotted with Backlund and Coleman at some point.

I've been thinking about it for quite a while, and I think that the Flames might be better off splitting Backlund and Coleman up this season.
If Zary doesn't have instant chemistry with Huberdeau in preseason then I think that
Sharangovich - Zary/Pospisil - Coleman
would be a great line to help a kid out defensively, while he learns the ropes at center. I also really liked the chemistry Coleman and Sharky found on the PK. They were so much fun together killing penalties.
This will likely result in
Huberdeau - Backlund - Mantha/Coronato/Pelletier
Which will either be a good spot to pump up Mantha's value or will give another kid an opportunity to succeed. Huberdeau wasn't great with Backlund, but better than with Kadri, or Sharangovich(at center).

No source on the rumor, probably made up, but FWIW

Rumors indicate that the Lightning are exploring a trade that would bring Andersson to Tampa Bay, with the Flames retaining $1.6 million of his salary. In exchange, the Flames would receive defenseman Nicklaus Perbix, forward Conor Sheary, and the Lightning’s 2026 first-round pick.

I don't much like what TB has to offer. But that 26 1st can end up being anywhere I suppose. Their window is closing pretty fast.

That seems extremely light for Andersson with retention. Especially after what they've given up for Jeannot due to his great caphit.

Just the other day I read Steinberg or someone saying that the Flames have not had any discussions with teams about trading Andersson or Weegar.

Luke hughes out for 8 weeks + with a shoulder issue... Could this mean that NJ comes knocking again?

Doubtful. 8 weeks isn't enough time to spend for a guy like Rasmus.
