In the best interests of America, Trump will become the GOP candidate regardless of any charges. There is zero chance he wins 2024.
Rhonda Santis (drag name) could win, which is far more dangerous for America, maybe.

As unsavory as it is, I'll take Trump over Desantis.

That seems like something Trump would do. Otherwise yeah why does he keep all the stuff?

Yeah, I think it's plausible that there are ego reasons (as opposed to intentionally aiding and abetting enemies of the state reasons) for Trump keeping the documents. People are constantly telling him how secret these documents are, how only the president can see them... if he's still got them, that's a symbol that he's still president and hasn't relinquished his claim; he can show people specific documents that he had involvement with and tell stories about himself as president.
Or, we could just go back to Mulaney's horse-in-a-hospital bit. The horse finally left the hospital... but he took all the insulin?! Why would he do that? He doesn't need it! He doesn't even know what it does!

the whole Republican field is insane. Trump, DeSantis, Haley, Pence, Ramaswamy ... all these people are bat#### crazy. It both speaks volumes that Chris Christie is looking like a relatively sane person next to all these lunatics and is polling near zero in this race.

One thing is for sure, he'll have Bubba as his cellmate in prison. Besides it's going to be pretty hard to run a country from a prison.

Kari Lake:
“I have a message for Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and Jack Smith, and the guys back there in the fake news media, you should listen up as well, this one’s for you: If you wanna get to President Trump, you’re gonna have to go through me, and you’re gonna have to go through 75 million Americans just like me, and I’m gonna tell you, most of us are card-carrying members of the NRA.”
Sounds like a threat against Biden and others. I hope the authorities come calling.

How sad is it that if anyone asked who of them is the most nuts, you can get so many different answers? Lake or Gaetz or Greene or Boebert or DeSantis or Trump or so many more...

We know he isn't going to prison and he would be in segregation if he was. The crazy thing is there is no law preventing him from being president while in prison. Hell, a lot of Americans would love to see that happen, many people love their drama more than anything else.

Judge Aileen Cannon has been randomly assigned to the case, which basically means the trial is over before it starts. Apparently, once the jury is impaneled, all she has to do is immediately decide the case for the defense - the ruling can’t be appealed, and double jeopardy would apply.

EDIT: The picture below isn't Cannon after all.
A number of legal podcasts I listened to said that the trial judge could still be different than Cannon and that there are some avenues for the DoJ to try and get a different judge if Cannon ends up being the trial judge. Maybe just hopeful thinking though.
I mean this image should be sufficient shouldn't it (that's her on the left)?
