I think we can get a 3rd for Rittich, but I’d shoot for a conditional 3rd turning into a 2nd on an attainable condition. Or just get a 2nd from a team absolutely desperate for a goalie. I think a team could very well panic if they lose out on Ullmark and/or Driedger sweepstakes. Plus, Rittich is a cheaper option than those two.

Interesting player. RFA at the end of the year, and a LH RW. I think this is someone who would have to be claimed, as Detroit probably wants to keep him and is trying to sneak him through the waivers. If this wasn't' covid times, I think that him being picked up would be almost certain.

Flames have to be in the top 10 for waiver priorities no? I really hope we claim him.
Gaudreau - Monahan - Svechnikov looks a hell of a lot better than any other winger we have had with those two all year.

What's the harm? Maybe it would even save us from spending a 2nd round pick on an absolutely horrible reclamation project from like...Ottawa or someone....

Harm? None really other than cap space that wouldnt be available in something bigger at the TD if presented.

I love his size, skating, shot, and snarl-but we should temper our expectations on him. He’s 24, and not good enough to make the Red Wings. Worth a shot, but I doubt he moves the needle much.
