Loved it, Canada gets the gold, Miller gets MVP. I couldn't have written it better, I'll never forget these Olympics. Yay!

This was probably mentioned in the thread but according to Bob McKenzie...

"Team Canada had the traditional and (Oly unapproved) Hockey Canada leaf logo stitched INSIDE their sweaters."

Just watching that replay with no commentators gives me goosebumps. I also didn't really appreciate how amazing that final play was until rewatching it. Iginla double teamed, falling down, with a ref partially in the way makes a perfect feed to set Crosby up all alone who then puts it home. As far as I'm concerned, that play is going to be right up there with the '87 Canada Cup goal and only a notch below the Henderson one. It's kind of cool knowing that you just witnessed a watershed moment in Canadian hockey history.

Nope. Don't you see? The one time the fans in Vancouver act like a Calgary crowd, they got to witness a local team win a championship.

Wearing red and not waving white towels = Success

Wearing a random collection of colours because your team changes its look every couple of years, and waving white towels to remember that time your coach tried to surrender in the middle of a blowout loss = The last 40 years of Canuck hockey

I am happy that Iginla was a key part of that winning goal. The Flames are proud of that. The 2002 gold was better than this one.

Even though my Americans lost ...... one good thing came from this... All my American friends now love hockey.... I can't tell you how many texts, emails, facebook messages from friends saying they didnt know hockey was so exciting and fun to watch ....

This is good especially since next season will be my city's first season with an AHL team!

..ohh and Congrats Canada... I didnt get to post it last night since my house became inundated with calls from the great white north... my family needed to rub it in a little.

I love how you can actually hear Crosby desperately sceaming "IGGY!!" as soon as he makes that b-line to the net. Amazing.
