That is the Connor McDavid legacy in one shift.
Tries to single handedly skate through everyone to be the hero.
Late coming back defensively.
Plays nobody and is in no man's land on the winning goal against.
Props to the Americans. They got lucky, but they also worked their ass off in this game.
Carrying the Gaudreau jersey around the ice now in his memory. It's hard not to appreciate that a moment, even if you're disappointed by the loss.
