Where does that trick play rank for dumbest ever .

You run your WR who takes the snap …. Towards you QB to pitch and have him throw. But where did they think the D would be ? Not chasing the guy …. With the ball towards your QB standing in the flat ??? Maybe if you sweep him the other way and throw all the way across the field … but run him at the “trick play” QB so all the D is there and blows him up

^ It works in the right situation, probably, bringing corners up and maybe catching a safety off guard so a couple men open deep. But timing, which needs to be perfect, was thrown off by the bad lateral immediately and so Allen should've just taken the loss then try to hero it down the field.

If Allen eats it for the loss and it's like any other failed trick play that happens in any random game and long forgotten about.
