Tough penalty to give but to be fair you can't be diving at a player studs up in the box like that. Didn't think it should be given either though. Nice finish by Kane and fun game for a neutral so far

When the play went to VAR, you know it will be a penalty because Dumfries did kick Kane.
But it shouldn't be a VAR call in the first place.

Kane kicked the Dutch player who was attempting to block the shot. In my opinion it’s not a penalty. I guess his studs were up a bit so I am sure this decision will be debated. It was definitely a bit reckless but I don’t think its a penalty

That is not a penalty. Not even close. Kane is the one who kicked the defender!
How the living #### can they look at that, think about it and give a penalty there.
Right up there with “distinct kicking motion”.

Whether it should be considered a penalty is not the same as will they call it. They've shown time and again that will get called, soft as it is.

I like the premier league and the stars from that league a lot plus have a bunch of club/player links of guys I cheer for and so like england - I don't see the same arrogance in this squad as past versions with loud boastful tools like Gazza and have dutch inlaws and always have a soft spot for them as well, been to a few NT games of theirs too. Just want to see some drama and whoever wins this game beat spain

I'm gonna be optimistic England hater and say Southgate's luck ended with that penalty. They could have ended this thing already yet it's still level. Dutch to score a legendary terrorism winner in the 88th after being dominated.

Just catching up but to me that's a soft penalty.
The ball was already gone and it was the feet clashing on a follow through of the shot...somewhat of a stupid challenge by the Dutch defender though but still think plays like that where it's a clash on a follow through of the shot shouldn't be a foul (unless it's an extremely dangerous play).
