Yes, mystifying lack of confidence in the young man from Flames management. Hopefully he'll get enough time up here with Valimaki injured that he can make some progress and stick in the roster. I didn't think he looked great in camp, but the way to get better is to play NHL minutes at this point. Sometimes the Flames really piss me off in how they just.... seem not to like some of the young guys, it's weird.

I must say (not in a trigger happy, gamethread manner) that having a superstar winger in Tkachuk tied to a good defensively but just alright offensively Backlund and a winger who is starting to show is age in Frolik could possibly be the downfall of contending during our window here.
Second line needs a serious upgrade if we want to play with the big boys, and unfortunately Valimaki's injury could have put an end to that goal for Treliving.

2014/15 actually now that I look it up. I know hockey Canada it's still ok, but hockey USA it was always a tripping. I was thinking local I guess! That should have definitely been a penalty, as it specifies body/arm/shoulder causing the trip
