Flames would've ended it if they didn't lose those draws. Nashville much worse than the Flames at OT with possession.

Flames also a bit tentative compared to their usual overtimes.

I'd also bet most teams score in OT on the rush. So starting with the puck uncontested in your own zone is better than winning a faceoff in the offensive zone.
