Wow. Power struggle ongoing in MTL. No doubt after making no catches on Saturday against the Stamps ... Carter when to team management and demanded a change at QB or else he was walking. He wont be out of work long. Hufnagel should pick him up just for this year so he doesn't end up in BC or Edm where a good QB would make him a real threat.

I like the Stamps receiving corps as they are currently, which International guy are you going to replace on the game day roster? Besides, Carter is a head case and a locker room distraction, no thanks.

They are going to lose Daniels to the NFL in the offseason in my opinion. A great year combined with the fact that he has NFL bloodlines (father played for years and currently coaches with the Eagles I believe), almost ensures that.

Likely will be the case, but obviously the main focus should be this season. Besides, let another team deal with the headcase that is Duron Carter and Tommie Campbell will shut him down just like he did this past Saturday.

I think CFL sent out a tweet, players released after trade deadline aren't eligible.
For next year, he can be kept in check with Bo, Messam, Cote around I think. Montreal has been a mess this year, guys lose focus and become a distraction in that kind of environment.
Daniels might be on the usual 2 years + 1 option year contract so he might still be around next year.

Stamps generally waive that when someone has an NFL opportunity.

You are correct, sir.
CFL@CFL
Again, @DC_CHILLIN_8 & @Kstaff07 released by MTL.
Are eligible to sign with any team but CANNOT play or be on a 44-man roster in 2016 #CFL

I wonder if they still count to the cap if they aren't eligible to play? If they do count I doubt they sign with anyone else until the offseason.

I would assume Daniels is on a two year deal; has there been another player that has been released to pursue the NFL after just one season? The risk for the Stamps is if he gets cut down south, does he not become a UFA? And therefore free to sign with any team (for any $)?
I'd pass on Carter. Don't want the headaches or the big contract that comes with it. Hufnagel has proven his ability to find WR talent -- having a QB like Bo Levi doesn't hurt either.

Veron Adams gets the start against the Riders on Saturday.
Ray took first team reps at practice today, as Willy re-re-aggravated a shoulder injury he sufferd.
Collaros is still out this week.

Happens all the time. Stamps just did it with Rogers.

If teams aren't willing to do that, than a lot of guys wouldn't come up here to play. I think Hamilton tried to screw Williams by not doing it, but that hurt them more than it helped them.

FAN 960 suggesting Carter would be a good fit in Regina with Chris Jones. That would be too perfect.

I think you're referring to teams releasing players in their options years not 2nd contracted year.
Rogers played half the year in Calgary 2 years ago, then all of last year in Calgary. Then got released before his option this past winter.
Derell Walker is a similar case. Last year burst onto the scene (year 1), this year is number 2. Option year coming up, thats when he'll get released to go try NFL.
Daniels will be in year 2 next year not option year.

Thanks. This is my understanding -- I can't find the article but I remember reading something about how a guy cut from the NFL who wants to go to the CFL has to be willing to invest three years (as the standard rookie contract is two years plus an option). Not everyone is willing to do that.
For Rogers, the Stamps released him after two years (and did not exercise the option for year 3), but I don't know of anyone that has been allowed to go after only one. I'm sure Calgary would prefer to keep him around for one more season.

I think Jones will pick him up too. Jones seems to like players with bad attitude.

Ticket sales for the Grey Cup (which we all hope the Stamps will be participating in) are lagging in Toronto and prices have been reduced.
TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts are reducing ticket prices for this year’s Grey Cup game at BMO Field.
Tickets will start at $89 with thousands available for under $150.
Under previous pricing, the cheapest tickets were priced at $169 and $199.
