Stroman is in cruise control, flip the channel for a few minutes and now he's out and they're losing? Was it Stroman's pitch count or what?

Just over-managing at it's finest.

That's a shame. Stroman has looked excellent his last two starts.

Too bad about McGowan. The numbers show that he's been great out of the bullpen, but I have to agree with Mach, I would have preferred to see Stroman try to finish off the inning. The Jays are going to be in tough against left-handed pitching until injuries clear up. Hopefully they don't drop too many.

I'm really not confident that this team 'has it' to hang onto 1st in the AL East all year

The "dog days" of summer have only just begun.

The Blue Jays need to get their act together and build that division lead up again.

The Jays went 12-15 in June, after winning the first 5 games.

For those who don't feel like reading everything for Jays hits:
Quote:
7/19/2013 [Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos] texted [Luhnow] and asked what it would take for Norris. AA said Aaron Sanchez is off the table but might be willing to talk about anyone else.
Quote:
7/20/2013 [Luhnow] told [Alex Anthopoulos] that we would consider Stroman +. AA said he had a bunch of balls in the air at once but would get back to JL.
Quote:
7/29/2013 [Alex Anthopoulos] texted [Luhnow] and asked what a package around Stroman might look like. JL said Stoman + Gose would be in consideration.
Quote:
11/13/2013 [Alex Anthopoulos] said Lawrie was untouchable. Sounded like they might consider a smaller deal for Stroman but later in off season.
May have missed some.

Jays signed Pentecost and Hoffman, their two firsts for slot

Only these guys didn't sign (thus far)

07|Zach Zehner
11|Jake Latz
12|Tanner Houck

16|Michael Papierski
17|Quinn Carpenter

21|Drew Lugbauer

23|Zach Pop

25|Rob Winemiller

27|Owen Taylor
29|Chris Murphy

36|Yan Rivera
38|Keith Weisenberg

Most of those that haven't signed were "insurance" picks or if we saved tons of money we'd have some for them.

The Jays have a shade over 500K left in the tank. So if they wanted one of those guys, they could offer 640K and be fine still. It's doubtful any of the remainders sign.

Anyone doing the Integra Air trip for Jays to Seattle that was on the Fan960. I have been to Seattle for Rays games and they are a lot of fun and I have heard that the Jays trip is a very awesome environment with Canada taking over the park. Might be a little steep at $1,900 but with so many millionaires on CP someone must be doing this.

Wow, $1900? what does that include?

I'm flying down that week to visit some family and was thinking of going to a game. I believe tickets were going for $70-80ish for "decent" seats (3rd base line, infield). I was thinking of trying stub hub to see if cheap tickets would come up but if all of Canada is there, I don't imagine there will be any deals.

Flights (private charter) Hotel Transportation and Executive seats. The hotel is right across from stadium and isn't cheap.

They have a great scalping network right outside the stadium if you go early day of the game or before they are right outside ticket box. I have always had good luck that way but Rays games are never in demand like the Jays would. Can't go wrong with Stubhub

Can't see the game, but sounded like a horrible bunt.

Let's just Walk-Off HR instead.
