Wood's revelation blows my mind. I would have said that I was really certain that Wood was a player and really certain that undercoverbrother was mafia. Now I'm not sure about either.

One possibility is that they're a role similar to lovers in Werewolf (I don't know what the mafia equivalent is), where when one dies, the other dies as well, meaning that Wood needs to protect UCB at all costs (in werewolf, this sort of relationship can often be between townsfolk and werewolves).

If you are lovers (or 'siblings', I guess, is the mafia term), I probably just signed your death sentence by outing you, since an assassin would probably target you guys as soon as possible if you aren't lynched. Sorry about that.

The thinking here is UCB looked to be the main target. Let's say he was killed, then 2 more of us are killed at night and we lose 3 more players in 1 day. Now as long as everyone believes what we're saying, we can vote someone other than UCB and hopefully get an actual mafia member, or even better the assasin. If we happen to kill the assasin on this day, instead of 3 players dying, revealing our role could end saving 2 players and only having one of us killed at night

Revealing made sense because let's say UCB was killed, there goes my ability. And I would assume I'm near the top for mafia targets at night anyways. If one or both of us die at night at least the players know what our ability was, and I have my list of where i think people stand out there in case I can't post any more. Hopefully we can make this days lynch count

If UCB and Wood are confident that they're are both players, I don't see why that confidence can't be applied to flameswin when he sounded unanimous about Blaster being on the players' side.
Granted I can see your logic wood and how it could work easily to Blaster's advantage assuming that were the scenario. Unfortunately it's more far fetched than I can agree with.

I know I know, I could be claiming it since it's kind of obvious (Don Cherry, Arnie, Hulk Hogan)... but I bet you missed one in there. Octothorp's 3rd person posting on day 2.

Octo can confirm that he was forced to talk in the 3rd person, but can't confirm that it was me that made him. That should be enough though.

Yeah, I did note that. If you had a relatively weak power, I don't see why you wouldn't have admitted it, since it would have made you a less useful target for the mafia. On the other hand, if I'm right that you guys are siblings, then you would have been totally trying to hide it, since it would make you an assassin target.

But your abilities would then function exactly the same as Flameswin and Blaster? A second mason faction?

Maybe others who have played mafia more can chime in (do we still have people who have played it much, or are they all dead?), but how likely is it that there are two separate factions of masons? Which is more likely? That, or one pair of masons and one pair of siblings?

And you know we aren't allowed to directly quote PMs from Mazrim in thread. I know you know this because you and Strombad already talked about it once.

However, since you did, I'm curious if Blaster can confirm that the wording is the same as on his role PM.

Half the time you guys have lynched someone before I even had a chance to vote, which has been worrying for a while. I'll put it out there that I am a player, and that we should go for management and see if we can pinpoint the assassin (if there is one). Well my theory relied pretty heavily on it being possible for there to be a mafia-mason. Since it's apparently a dick move, that's over
