I don't know about that, they may not be the worst but they're pretty close. Every Seahawk fan I know is the first to let you know how good they are and are almost as obnoxious as Riders fans.
The whole "12th man" Seattle has and the stupid "7th man" Vancouver has is pretty cheesy and is just full of bandwagoners for two franchises who have never won anything.
The throwing of the food at Bowman when he was being carted off was the final straw for me, it doesn't get much worse than that in terms of class and sportsmanship.
It's a big rivalry and I have no problem with that but sometimes people go a little too far.

Niners fans. The epitome of class.

The problem is, to me at least, is that he came across like a Sean Avery-type character after the game. Just bad sportsmanship. If he said that stuff before the game, whatever. It's a competition.
After though, when you've just won the game, and the object of your tirade is sitting silent in the other locker room, it just seemed childish.
One thing we had drummed into us in hockey (which obviously has a different culture) was Don't Do That.
Of course it still happened. The damn "shake hands line" was when the gloating was usually done, but you always got heat from the coach if he heard you.

So one fan out of 70,000 throws popcorn at Navarro Bowman and you paint them all with the same brush....c'mon man.

Responding in order of paragraphs:
Maybe you should meet more Seahawks fans then.
The 12th man has been around for 30 years, not the half baked other attempts. As far as bandwagon fans, they all exist when teams get good. A whole lot of SF jerseys popped up in this city about this time last year as well after the NFC win. SF hasn't won anything for 20 years, and I can tell you from seeing 49ers fans yesterday at the game, 90% of the SF fans were under 30.
The "throwing of food" was classless, though overblown...but it was the dumping of popcorn by one person, and security was over there pretty quick, and nothing else happened.

People have been underestimating Denver's defence all year. Didn't expect it to stop now. It will be a good game.

Me and a buddy were down there last night, just got back this morning. Was incredible to be there in person. I was a little nervous during a couple points in the game, especially early on but I had a good feeling on that last Niners drive. I've never hugged so many random people in my life as after that interception!
Heard the Sherman quote on the radio while driving to the hotel in Vancouver after the game and laughed at his comments. Sherman is a different cat for sure. He's one of those guys who you love having on your team, but would despise once he's off it.

First off the food thing looks bad on us. I saw the video and someone throws some popcorn at him as he's being carted off. but one guy throwing 30 kernels of Orville doesn't represent the other 65,000 fans there. Personally, as he was being carted off I clapped for him, as did others around me. One person doesn't represent a whole fan base. If they did Flames fans are all red sock wearing naked idiots who can't hold their balance.
Also, don't lump us in with Canucks fans. After the game walking around downtown the scene reminded me of the 2004 Flames run. People honking their horns, waving flags out their windows, dancing in the street, high fiving everyone and cheering. I didn't see anyone acting like an idiot, I saw many 49ers fans walking around afterwards and none were taunted or threatened or anything like that. Even at the game, I saw nothing towards them other than a few boos as they walked up the aisle.
The "12th man" actually represents something and grew organically. It's not something a marketing intern came up with in a weekly meeting. It means a lot to myself and other Seahawk fans knowing that we can go to a game and make a difference in the outcome on the field. Having the hardest stadium to play in for visiting teams is a badge of honour.
I wasn't aware that your team needed to win a championship before you could be considered a real fan and not a bunch of bandwagoners. It's not like Centurylink Field just started selling out this year or last. At least we don't need to send out instructions to our "fans" on how to cheer.

Also, enough going on about your Superbowl wins. It's been 20 years since your last one and you're starting to sound like Oilers fans.

You can't compare it to Calgary, teams usually don't riot when they are winning (just good partying in Calgary after winning 3 series).
Seahawks fans are good no doubt, but they're stadium is built to create sound like that, which is great, you might as well give your home field the best advantage possible.
But there are many articles written about the architecture of the stadium with the metal rafters etc. to reflect sound all about and make everything louder.
So you could put any 65,000 people in there and it will be louder than any other stadium because of its architectural design. However, Kansas City breaking the decibel record at one point this year IS incredible.
20 years isn't as long as 37! Niners fans aren't relying on past superbowls, they're a good competitive team right now, unlike the Oilers.

Exactly. I would like to see Sherman go and shake an opponents hand after he loses. Highly doubt it happens. He just uses the "shake hands" excuse to justify all of his actions, he just good at trolling is all.
The top things Sherman is remembered/known for:
1) Taunting Tom Brady
2) Getting punched by Trent Williams (redskins) (after taunting him)
3) Asserting he was better at being a human being than Skip Bayless
4) Going off on an absolute PR disaster tirade after the NFCCG that painted him as a sore winner
5) Patting Harbaugh on the butt and then running away as fast as he could and complaining that his former coach who (I would argue) never saw him failed to validate his performance in the game or butt-slapping
The common denominator to all of this? Richard Sherman.
If he just shut-up and played football, he would be recognized (and rightfully so) for his skills.
He's like Alex Burrows times 10!
Haha sorry for all the posts, but as a lone Niner fan and all these Seahawks fans I gotta defend myself!

Richard Sherman is hardly comparable to Burrows. For one Sherman is a top 15-20 player in the NFL, Burrows is a glorified third liner who get rich because of the Sedins. Plus Sherman isn't bitting and diving all game. He's like the T.O of corners, he'll annoy you, mostly because he's good enough to do it.

No it wasn't. You were hating on the Seahawks and their fans long before yesterday's kickoff.
My "arrogant" Super Bowl prediction:
Seattle Seahawks - 28
Denver Broncos - 20

I've been a 49er fan since birth. Bandwagon has nothing to do with where you're from, obviously with Canada having no NFL teams, Canadians have favourite teams all over the US.
There was a video this year where they went to Seattle and would ask people in restaurants and stores who they're favourite team was and they would obviously say the Seahawks. But when asked to name a player on the team (a well known skilled player), they had no idea. That's an example of a bandwagoner.
Your right, I never liked Seattle before. And the actions of Sherman and Seattle fans just further cemented my dislike and my reasons to dislike them.
Hopefully the football Gods won't allow Seattle to win. Denver needs to be the Boston Bruins of 2011.
Broncos 35
Seattle 28

LOL 30 years? "half baked other"? How about the Texas A&M 12th man that just passed it's 90th anniversary? Seattle done stole that crap. I hate A&M and have been to both Seattle and A&M games. Guess whose is better? A&M's even when the team sucks. Also, guess who pays A&M to use the phrase? Seattle is a "half baked other".
I appreciate the Seattle fan base passion, and I don't think that a few fans are representative of a bunch. However, Seattle couldn't even come up with their own fanbase nickname so I find it humorous when a fan calls out other teams "half baked attempts."
