Except that those were all actual heritage designs from their very early years. They didn't make up some fake history, or tried to make themselves look older....they were actual designs from their past. And yeah, they went a little overboard, but when you have a 100 year anniversary, it was justifiable.

Yeah, that's my point, they just went way overboard with it. Their 100 year anniversary went for two seasons.

Total dislike of the new jersey. Unimaginative. I hope they don't sell a lot of them and abandon it asap.

The stripping that looked like Space Invaders I could just never get on board with. I like the colours.. but those damn Space Invaders.

And here's another thing. They think they've got something special in the script logo - they are trying to sell all kinds of stuff with it being the primary element. I really hope people vote with their dollars and don't buy this stuff.
And of course the sister statement to that one is that they don't realize how good the shoulder patch is! I think they are selling one or two hats with it being the secondary element, and a pin I think, but that's it. Frustrating...

I'm kinda shocked that the Flames fans on HF are mostly good with these jersey. Figured they'd be as pissed of as the majority of us are.

Agree with the post above.
Was shocked at the lack of shoulder patch merchandise yesterday. Was hoping they would have a t-shirt, sweater, hat, anything with just the shoulder patch logo on it but there was nothing.

I actually like the script logo on the other merchandise more than on the jersey. They have so many other t-shirts and stuff that have text treatments on them, so it doesn't seem as out of place as it does on the jersey.
I do agree that I'd like to see more stuff with the shoulder patch on them.

The flaming C tacked on beside the wordmark looks like an afterthought.
Do not like, pass.

I think I would like it more if the flaming C and the new logo on the shoulders were swapped.

Yeah, the whole cowboy shirt gayness kills it for me.
Yuck, I wear the ugliest possible shirts I can find with that pointy yoke thing during Stampede to mock the whole western thing, not embrace it. All they are missing is Denim Blue pants with a Wrangler logo on them.
Boo-urns.

They definitely had that. I picked up a couple yesterday. I was surprised that they didn't have more things featuring that logo as well.

I didn't even notice the stupid yolk thing on it. That's really really stupid. Like those ECHL theme jerseys stupid.

The jersey really should have been an elegantly designed uni featuring the shoulder patch as the main logo and the Flaming C's on the shoulder.
Then next year, make new primary's with the Flaming C on the front and alternate logo on the shoulders.

Making it look like a cowboy shirt is too much for me. I was starting to accept this jersey, but now seeing the awful pointy western yoke, no thanks. Horrible.

And then of course the front script logo - awful. It's like seeing your favorite meal in front of you, and then the rules are that you have to eat this bowl of vomit at the same time if you want it. SO FRUSTRATING!
The fan attic online store has a very clear view of the shoulder yoke western style awfulness:

I actually like the script. Funny how this jersey is really growing on me, because at first the only issue I had with it was the black shoulders, but since it's actually a yolk to add the western touch, I'm okay with it. For an alternate jersey, this is pretty solid.
