Windsor Park? By Chinook?
I guess they assume its going to overflow at the Calgary G&CC and run unabated across Elbow Drive.

Seriously, leave as early as you can - waiting in an airport sucks, but its better than missing your flight when all the roads are washed out or closed.

If anyone can find a map for the recently announced Deer Run evacuation, that would be amazingly awesomely cool of you!

Not sure...all my info is coming directly from my cousin who is spending the summer there...she rarely ventures into Invermere but will ask when i get an update and if there is anything i can pass on, I most certainly will.

Post please. All maps I've seen are from hours ago.
We are in Bridgeland and also want to know what "Bridgeland Industrial Area" is.

It's an off topic forum, but there are several threads in it that stay on their thread topic.
I don't live in Calgary, but I'm not going to come into this thread where people are losing things they can't replace and complain about something unrelated that makes me come across as an uncaring jerk.
Maybe I should post that the company golf tournament will be played on a wet course and there will be lots of mosquito and complain about how rough that will be?
Very thankful there is no river that runs through Olds, and very aware of the damage water does because of the people we know just west of here in Sundre. I'm genuinely sorry for anyone who has to deal with water damage.
We had minor water issues in our house the last round of 100+ MM of rain and I know and appreciate how difficult it can be to deal with even losing minor things. I can't imagine it on a much larger scale. Getting paid out or not on claims, the stress waiting to have things dealt with sucks.
|
I didn't realize how bad the flooding was when I originally posted my complaint about not being able to fish this weekend as I didn't bother reading the entire thread. Now that I have seen the actual damage and read some first hand accounts on here I realize that I probably came across as a dick and I apologize to those who may have been offended.
I'm thankful that the area of the city in which I live is high enough to be unaffected by the river should a similar event ever occur here. I truly feel bad for those affected by the flooding and I wish there was more I could do to help.
