Koodo is a killer plan right now- month to month no contract with LTE. unlimited calling Canada wide, unlimited text, 2gb data, voicemail caller id for 56$. Koodo uses Telus network.

If you stock with Rogers, I would hold out for the Super 6 plan, I think it is called. 6Gb data plan, and unlimited incoming and Rogers to Rogers , and my10.
$60 and don't let them tell you it doesn't exist because I got it myself last week and have been offered it for my corporate phones as well.

I should add that I have a $15 monthly data plan on my iPad. I use the iPad for data when I'm away from my computer as I almost always have my iPad with me so I've not missed data for the week or so since I got my iPhone 5, but why have an iPhone 5 without data. I'd like a combination plan that can be shared between my devices.

WoW! I'm with Bell monthly right now with my 4S, but that Koodoo deal is amazing!
The only thing is... how's the coverage and quality of service? If it uses the Telus network, is it the same as Telus phones coverage? Would the service be a downgrade from Rogers/Bell/Telus?

That is pretty good. I have 450mins, unlimited weekends and 5:30, 6GB, and voicemail for $80 all in on Virgin (bell). I thought that was a good deal but this looks better. I'm calling in tonight to say match or I walk since I'm unlocked too.
Thanks for telling me about this.
Oh and I have no idea why I would need 6GB. I have never gone over 2GB in 2 years.

Exact same as Telus. It piggybacks their network (Koodo is owned by telus) Which I believe is the same as Bell, so...!

I believe Fido is offering basically the same deal as well.

My iPhone 4 would show the wifi logo instead of "3G" when I was connected to a wifi network. My iPhone 5 doesn't do this, even when connected to a wifi network, it still just shows "LTE". Is this normal? The iPhone 5 doesn't seem to have very good battery life, and I'm wondering whether the phone never turns off radios when they aren't supposed to be in use.

My 5 will only show the wifi logo when connected to wifi. I rarely connect to wifi, so it shows LTE most of the time.
As for the battery, I had issues when I first got mine. I had connected to iTunes and had restored it from a previous iPhone. (So that all my settings/ Angry Birds scores would transfer over.) I had read online to wipe the phone and start over from scratch. I did that and my battery life improved quite a bit. Instead of coming home with a dead battery, I come home with about 30% remaining.

Mine doesn't even show the wifi logo even when connected to wifi, at least it says its connected.
My phone was updated from an old phone too, I might have to try it. I might just go to an apple store though too.

The last couple of updates has fixes for wifi issues on the 5. Make sure you're using 6.0.2.
My beef is having to constantly enter my password in the app store when iOS 6 was going to fix that.

The only time I have to enter my iTunes password is when I am buying an app. (Or getting a free app.)

Yeah, they were supposed to stop making you do that. It's annoying.

Really? I guess having kids I prefer that my son has to ask me before putting anything on the iPad.

It used to require my password just for app updates. Now it only asks when I want to buy/install a new app. Much less annoying imo.

Less annoying but still someone annoying. I do see the benefit to having it ask for a password as part of the parental controls.

I just installed 6.02 just now. The wifi logo displayed for the first time ever in this phone, I think. I hope the battery life will be improved now.
