I understand the sentiment, but I do not wish to see any of that crowd. Ever

I much prefer when refs let them play and only call obvious penalties. I feel the reffing has been great in this series so far.
Let the regular season pp champions cry all they want. Playoff hockey should not be about who has the best powerplay. It should be about depth scoring, and who can come through and score clutch goals at the right time. I love when a depth player scored in overtime to win the game.
Of course the Oilers know they need their pp to have success, so they are whining again.

The reffing in this series is exactly what it needs to be right from round 1, game 1.
4-5 penalties total on just egregious infractions is perfect. It keep the influence of the officiating out of the results for the most part and dissuades the olympic diving charades. Both sides understand the "must commit murder" playoff standard and it keeps them working hard to earn those occasional PPs. Just how playoffs should be!

Hopefully Oiler fans don't throw their drinks and garbage at the opposing players after they put up some textbook road games in the stinky can.
As the last year or two have demonstrated though, it's not a guarantee.

Of course highlights dont tell everything, but based on those, the western conference finals look like crap compared to eastern conference finals.

Sportsnet has been very dedicated to emphasizing Pissy Leon’s point streak and how he was getting close to catching historically great nhl players. I see by the box score he failed to get a point tonight. So sad. I couldn’t watch the game, but I wonder if sportsnet managed to mention Pissy failed in this endeavour? I’m guessing they failed to mention this little detail. E=NG.

My favourite part of these bumonton highlights was the the police officer pushing over the drunk dips**t in the oilers jersey who was casually trying to wander into the fray. Dude looked like Mcdiver wandering into a scrum.

I love that McDavid and Ekholm are dumbfounded by the lack of powerplays. They just expect them no matter what and don't realize how much they get away with all the time. McDavid in particular is a generational talent when it comes to initiating interference. It's probably too much to hope for, but maybe the refs are finally starting to catch on. You can only see McDavid hug onto a an opposing player's stick and flop so many times before you realize what is actually going on.

It’s unbelievable really
It’s like they believe power plays are guaranteed events or something (you get 3 power plays a period)
They are completely ignoring that it looked like Dallas woke up and totally stuffed them in the third
I hope this complaining strategy backfires and they piss the officials off for showing them up
That’s always a good strategy

Taking a while to get to 5000

Usually this strategy works to an extent but yeah, hoping that's not the case this time. And given how they play or typically draw their penalties I'm betting it doesn't work either.

Dallas didn't even do anything that could be talked about as a "non-call". I have no idea what they were complaining about.
2 minutes for not being the Oilers? I'm sure Ron MacLean could find it somewhere in his rulebook.

Honestly though, what else can they do other than blame the refs? Good teams look to leadership after a loss, they don't have any.
