Coming straight from PS3 this is pretty awesome. I just did the first couple missions before work this morning
I'm not much of a graphics snob but I'm almost tempted to upgrade my graphics card. I'm playing with textures on high, everything else very high, getting steady 30 fps. It could be much better but I'll see how it goes
Edit: so the auto detect settings weren't the best. I made some tweaks and am playing on great settings getting 55-60 fps. I don't think I've played a game yet that offers so many graphic settings, very nice to see
I had trouble shooting accurately with the controller. I don't think auto-aim is available. Fortunately you can use keyboard/mouse and controller simultaneously so I'll use the mouse when shooting, and pick up the controller to drive or fly.
In the gamepad options you can turn on auto aim, it works exactly the same as console
Colour me impressed, Rockstar finally managed to put out a GTA port that doesn't run like a gigantic pile of garbage. Makes me kind of excited for the mods that are inevitably coming out.
Oh and good game too.

Best looking game I've ever played, by a landslide. The animations are astounding and you can tell they had a massive budget. Just the way the characters move their hands around and walk no video game has ever been close to. Yeah Crysis 3 is gorgeous but in motion it's 2 generations behind.
So I did my first heist with three random people, the prison break one. No mics, but we did quite well. Went through all the missions and only failed twice. Then in the final mission we were all done and all we had to do was parachute out into the water and get into a chopper. I have not parachuted or swam on the PC version. Got instructions on how to open my parachute mid air. But I drowned in the water. Thankfully it was the first death of the mission, or everyone would have been pissed We should try to get a heist going some night.
TL;DR: Finished entire heist, I almost ruined it by drowning at the end.

LOL... I did the EXACT same thing on PS4, happy I'm not alone. They tried to tell me how to swim, but never playing a GTA game since the top down days I had no idea what I was doing. Drowned, only the first death so not that bad... then almost killed myself again trying to find a place to jump down from so I could get to the chopper. Good times.
I haven't played heists on PC yet, but I only did try the prison ones on PS3
In the heist, with 3 ransoms we got all the way to the end, it was slow and painful and I was shocked we were able to finish. 3 of us were sitting in the helicopter waiting for the last guy and I said to my girlfriend just watch this guy run through the propeller and fail the mission
He did exactly that, mission failed when all that was left to do it fly over the hill together
Obviously I'm a bit behind the times on this, as I'm referring to the PS4 one, not PC. But even going from XBox 360 to PS4 has completely revitalized this game for me.
Where I really notice the upgrades the most is in the rural areas, there's just sooo much more life to it now. All the new greenery, and increased wildlife, has really brought areas alive that were rather dull in previous gen. The game looks like a postcard, I can't believe how many pictures I take in-game. It gets me jacked for what a RDR sequel could look like.
Can't even imagine what this game looks like on PC, as just jumping from previous to current gen has me blown away.
Going from PS3 to PC is awesome. I'm playing online for the first time on PC and just did a 29 person race. I think the max was 8 people on the old consoles
I bought it when it first came out for Ps3 and it was enjoyable. I didn't want to upgrade it to the next gen console or PC. It chaps my ass I didn't get the platinum trophy though.
Man, trying to get some of these heist setups done online is like herding cats.
Yeah it can get pretty ugly some times. If you are on PC let me know and I'll help out. I've played them all a few times. And I know Pacific Standard like the back of my hand.

I'm on PS4. The amount of muppets who can't even figure out which member in the crew they're supposed to go with is astounding. I also pretty much had the prison break beat, just had to get in the chopper, and Rockstar's server crashed on me. That was one of those "just turn off your PS4 before you break something" moment.
