Just for the sake of clarity, there's nothing more sane than wanting free healthcare AND pogey. I mean c'mon, best of both worlds!

Pretty brutal polling numbers out today for Biden; it's going to be a tough slog to get reelected with those kind of approval ratings.
https://twitter.com/user/status/1655202507889541121
About the only silver lining is that there are huge numbers of undecided voters in the Biden vs Trump and Biden vs Desantis numbers. Perhaps the reality of either of those loons becoming President in 2024 will spur moderates to break for Biden, but Democrats aren't offering a whole lot to get people excited to support them.

He would still crush Trump with ease, Desantis has come unglued lately but that would be close, But I wish he would stand a side and let someone like Newsom have an easy win though

Yea, I think Biden still wins even with the low approval ratings. The MAGA cult has only shrunk since 2016, and the GOP continue to lose women and younger voters due to the overturning of Roe, daily mass shootings, book bannings, their war on minorities and LGBTQ folks, among other evil deeds. The demographics are changing fast and Republicans are scared s***less of the youth vote, who came out in huge numbers during the mid-terms.
Sure, Biden isn't all that exciting. But it's either him or you allow the country to officially turn into the Republic of Gilead. Pretty easy choice if you ask me.

Newsom is doing it right - clearly running a shadow campaign, but backing Biden as strongly as possible whenever asked. If Biden steps aside, he can slot right in.

Really wish Biden would take a knee and just let someone else campaign and support them.

Apparently there are some questions about the methodology of this poll in particular.

Marjorie Traitor Greene is nominating Kyle Rittenhouse for a Congressional Gold Medal. Only in the U.S. and only a Republican would think it’s appropriate to reward someone for murdering two people. F me.

I didn't expect that. I mean the trial went REALLY poorly for Trump, the video of his deposition was brutal, but still I didn't expect them to rule for Carroll.

The other thing about that trial that I found hilarious is how the judge anticipated Trump's crying about not being able to defend himself.
Trump went to Scotland and when there said "I have to go back to defend myself", but there was no way Trump's lawyers were going to let Trump get on the stand.
But Trump tried to arrange it like they were blocking him from testifying (he even claimed that on social media), so the judge gave Trump until Sunday evening to indicate that he was going to testify.. basically called his bluff.
Big picture this doesn't really change anything, but still kind of shocking.

good. That deposition was unreal ... even ignoring the fact that "she's not my type" is an absolutely insane defense for a rape accusation, him mistaking Carroll for Marla Maples wasn't exactly ideal for his case. Good on the judge for calling his bluff too.

Does this label him a ‘convicted sex offender’?
Or no …because it’s a civil trial?

Yeah this is a civil trial, so technically speaking he's not a "Convicted Sex Offender"
I think the technical/correct term to use is "Preponderance of Evidence Sex Offender"
