Got a #4 Bouwmeester today. I like the rbk ones better then the ccm ones with the 1989 patch on the shoulder. They are both good but the CMM seem built better. (maybe i have fat arms)

I have a big rant built up about people that wander around in the nosebleeds during play, but I'm too lazy to type it out. FTR, I hate those people.

Gotta say, I don't see Boyd amounting to anything. He seems to lack hockey sense, which paired with him being physically weak-ish, is a recipe for suckage.
I'm saying this in here rather than FOI because it's just a random thought I wanted to get out, not really something I want to get in an argument over.

I was a dollar short on a purchase today, so I grabbed one of my items and before I could put it back on the shelf, some stranger yelled out and told me to bring it back and he'd pay the difference. Sure it was just a $1, but I was really impressed. It's nice to know that there are complete strangers out there that choose to be good people, and I'll definitely pay it forward next time I've got an opportunity to do someone a favor.

So alas, I didn't meet Gene Simmons.

Aw man. So jealous that you get to have the Bro in there. Too bad Gene didn't show up. Maybe in November when he comes to town with the KISS army?

I'm working in retail and have people come through here and short a dollar or two. I'll usually pitch in if it's close, first out of the penny/charity jar, and then IF need be, I'll maybe pop a quarter in or a loonie if it was a good tip day.
I gave a groom to be a couple of free pins for some wedding guests as he was on his way to his wedding in Tokyo. Made me feel good about helping a guy out before his wedding.

I started playing the old 'snake' game on an old cell phone. It's freaking awesome. Best cell phone game ever.
For the record, I've beaten that game. I've got a photo where the whole screen is filled with snake except for the one square that contains the apple.

I really want a Nystrom or Borque jersey, but they're both UFAs after this year and I'm not sure if I should risk it. Might just go for a Bouwmeester to play it safe.

I got my retro jersey with iggy on it. I have yet to own an iggy jersey until now. And yes, the arms are huge.
On another note....witty...i totally thought of you tonight. I was looking at the stuff they had up for auction before the game tonight and they had a really cool pic of Sid holding up the Stanley cup with his signature on it, and then in the middle was a little mini stanely cup and then the other side was a team picture of the penguins. If i had money to throw around i would've totally bid on it.
Anyway, i pulled out my camera and the dude manning the auction station promptly stopped me.
............WHAT??!!! I just wanna up load that bad boy to CP for witty! He didn't get it. I backed away.
Anywho....GO FLAMES GO!! Now lets re beat the filth on thursday!

If bacon, cheese and butter make damn near every piece of food better, why doesn't someone figure out how to make bacon, cheese and butter good for you?

You raise a good question. I've always wondered this myself, but I think it has to do more with the complicated structures of such food. Something like Strawberries, or anything that can be grown has a DNA structure, and that can be manipulated much easier than bonds.
Food like bread is made up of many, many complicated carbohydrate bonds. Altering some of those, changes the entirety of the structure. That's why I think it's pretty difficult to get something that works. The chances of finding it is darn near impossible.

Well, butter is better for you than margarine or mayo according to a lot of stuff I've read, and cheese is definitely good for you in limited in quantities (calcium), and eating back bacon is obligatory for Canadians, so I think if you don't overdo it's okay, and even patriotic. Do it for the homeland!

do not want to start a new thread, but...
how hard is it to get tickets to these games:
27 Dec vs Canucks
30 Dec vs Kings
31 Dec vs Oilers
2 Jan vs Maple Leafs
planning a trip up to Calgary for the first time and obviously want to see a game at the dome. maybe spend christmas/new year there as well.
thanks!

I'm guessing the easiest would be the Kings. Toughest the NYE BoA.
The others are Canadian teams so they will be on the tougher side, too.

Thank you for cutting me off this morning sunterra market van. Was gaining that extra spot worth it as I passed you on the Blackfoot Trail section before the turn off to Highfield road. Sure as heck didn't seem that you got to your destination any faster.
