Hmmm, let's see.
I have 3 to return and the accompanied letter says call UPS to have them pick it up. They wont take them.
My friend that actually was able to send his back had the UPS person fill the form in wrong and was sent an invoice for the return.
So, until UPS stops sucking, I say keep it. (or give it back at the Apple store).

If you live close to a UPS Store, you can drop if off there. Seems like a pain if there isn't one in your vicinity though. It's right next door to a Safeway, so it wasn't an extra trip for me.

Don't know if anyone here uses the Flycast app (for playing radio). I've downloaded it and am trying to register. My registration fails and it asks that I choose "a valid userID." Problem is there is no place for me to type in a userID so I'm stuck. I've put in my email address and password. Anyone know how I can register?

You probably have to sign up for an account on their website.

You sign up on the iPhone, which I tried to do. I'm looking at the signup page now on my phone but there is no place to enter a userID. I'll go to the website and see what is there. Thanks.

This could go in the confessions thread, but after several weeks of trying and helpful advice from cp'ers I never fully figured out how to use my iphone as an apple tv remote. I had to youtube it to figure it out

^^ It's 2008. It's no longer about what you know, it's about knowing how to use information to find the answer.

I'm heading to Australia next week and I'm taking my iPhone with me mostly for listening to music on the plane, and maybe to watch movies however, I won't need it as a phone and I don't want to pay any insane international roaming charges if I accidentally connect to a 3G network down there.
How do I make sure I don't get any outrageous bills when I come home? Should I just leave my iPhone is Airplane mode (so it doesn't connect to any cell network)? Not really sure what else I could do. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Sorry if this has been asked before in this thread, but I didn't feel like going through all 51 pages of it,

Just make sure that data roaming is turned off. I think it's in Settings->Network

Awesome! Thanks... it's in Settings --> General --> Network.
My phone already has data roaming turned off right now. Does that significantly impact my phone's capabilities while in Calgary?

Yeah, I was going to disable 3G as well.

It shouldn't do anything while you're in Canada.. remember there is no data roaming in Canada. So if you're in BC or Ontario, you're still fine.

Alright this is getting crazy..
How much standby do you guys have on your 3G phones? I reset the counter in mine to see for sure, and fully charged it. 20% at 1 day 1 hour, 10% at 1 day 2 hours, dead shortly thereafter. This is with no surfing, very little emailing, and maybe 1 hour of iPod usage for music (not video). Phone in 3G mode though it switches to Edge when I'm at home and I was home for half the day.
Seems brutal to me.

I can't say I've ever paid attention to my standby. The only thing I find is that in an average day if I start at 100% I can use it for 45 minutes in the morning (half data, half watching a movie), probably about an hour throughout the day (data) and then another hour in the afternoon (data and video), and by the time I reach home it needs a charge.

Guh.. I guess mine is fine then, it just seems so bad.
It's weird though my usage time and standby time were exactly the same, it's like something was running in the background.
Maybe a reboot. Again.

I'm listening to Internet radio through my office wi-fi and without noticing I see it's moved over to Edge. I don't know when that happened. I had 3G turned off.
First, why does this happen? My office wi-fi has not gone down. Does this add substantially to my data usage and charges? I don't know how much data capacity it uses to play radio over Edge.

So dead in three hours Photon? I am not sure where to find out what percentage I have left, but I unplugged my iPhone from it's charger this morning at around 6:30, and it's no 6:04, and I have easily 75% left. I didn't use it all that much today, but it wasn't totally idle either.

I watched about an hour worth of video, and almost 2 hours of surfing and podcasts with email checking all day and I am at about 60ish percent.
