Markstrom is the only Canucks goaltender to win a round in over 10 years so Canuck fans can pound sand

But the criticizing of Markstrom in this series is dumb
And it’s from the usual folks who have been criticizing him at every chance this season
It’s confirmation bias at is finest
I mean, the Flames have a 56% share of the expected goals and 40% of the actual goals.

Markstrom can be great and also the second best goalie on the ice.

The entire series has been big games. And he's been fantastic. One weak goal tonight doesn't change much of anything. He's the second best goalie in the playoffs. If the best wasn't playing at the opposite end all people would be saying is how unreal Markstrom has been.

Part of his job is also tracking the puck.

Lots of traffic for sure but he gets caught leaning trying to look around traffic, and still didn’t pick up the shot.

Tkachuk was useless on that goal too. But he’s a Vezina finalist goalie and he’s being soundly outplayed by a rookie tonight and has left in one terrible goal (1st) and one that I think he’d like to have back if you ask him (3rd)

He’s been good the rest of the playoffs for sure, unfortunately for the Flames the two best goalies in the playoffs so far are in this series. But hasn’t been good tonight IMO

Yes he can
Doesn’t mean he should be blamed

Markstrom has been among the top two goaltenders in the playoffs. He’s not the reason we are losing in this game, it’s been bad changes and Tkachuk blowing a tire

And damn, we really need to win a few more faceoffs or at least not let the Stars win them cleanly

Play hard for 20. Dallas has opened it up today, and even though I'm sure Bowness is reminding them to keep to the defensive structure, the team looks like they want to put on a show for the fans.
There will be opportunity.

Flames are not out of this game at all. Dallas is not a team that's going to fold easily, but the Flames can still win this.

Yeah calling Markstrom the 2nd best goalie in the series isn't an insult. Like when your opponent is Jesus being Judas isn't bad. (I don't actually know, I've never been to church.)

We’ve had the same shots on Horseshoetennger
Sadly the puck luck is still not on our side.

That’s the difference, we’re like 7-8 goals owed at this point.

Brutal defensive coverage is at fault for the second goal. The first goal was a total stinker, and the third one he didn't battle through traffic. It wasn't a shot that snuck into the net just inside the post or cross bar. Markstrom is a big goalie who got small on that play.
