And I don't mean 2 each, I mean, call a guy for diving, straight up. Calling McDavid, when he grabs a guy's stick and then spins around and flops to the ice, would be the easiest call ever.

A referee with guts would give McDavid a double minor for that: Two for embellishment, plus two for holding the stick.

The Oilers had a few moments of higher intensity where Quick had to be better than Smith, but looking at the full 60 minutes, anyone who can't see that L.A. was better overall, is wearing homer glasses. The last few minutes with the goalie pulled, the Oilers really poured it on, which probably skews how some recall the game in its entirety.

Yep, Kings out chanced the Oilers, this Quick stole it non sense is just people trying to cover for their terrible predictions that this series was a layup.

The game is 4-1 5 on 5 and most of the calls were pretty ball####ty

Quick definitely made a few 10 bellers but its hardly as if the ice was ultra tilted and he was getting pelted to the point of calling it a steal. You do need your goalie to make a couple of those per game in the playoffs but it was a team win through and through.
