I don't get it, as bad as the ending was on the series, I don't know where else they can go. They basically beat the Cylons with love, conquored earth, had sex with some cave woman to spread out their DNA, civilization rose and then we started building robots.
I guess they could do something in the middle, but I don't know what.
Caprica was suppossed to show the rise of the Cylons but was cancelled due to extreme elitist ######baggy writing.

You sum it up pretty well CC, I think they will have to go with another reboot and put their own spin on it. Curious to see what they come up with, because Moore's version was a very solid re-imagining.

Blood & Chrome would be a two hour television movie about a young Adama in the first Cylon war 40 years previously.
While Caprica probably failed because it was too ethereal, Blood & Chrome would be fairly action oriented.
You'll remember during the Battlestar series they had some web-only vignettes of a young Adama encountering the first evidence of Cylons testing humans just as the armistace was declared.
I think.

That was in Razor, that we saw young Adama.
And Blood and Chrome may never see the light of day now.

All I know is Colonel Tigh was playing a milquetoast grandfather on Heartland a few weeks ago . . . . . and it all seemed so sad with no "Godsdammit" and "frak you's" anywhere in sight.
Is this what life is like without beautiful robot killers?

I'd like to see a true re-imaging of the original 70's series with the hippy hair, the trip to the disco where the ants were eating people, the slow non agile cylons, toss in an imperious leader and a intentional betrayal by baltar.
Add in the whole disco lights thing and the funky sound track, and the repetitive use of special effects shots.
Oh and bring back Doctor Z

Forget Doctor Z, that's Galactica 1980. Bring back Count Iblis and Mormon Angels!

Tigh played a security force captain in Mass Effect 2 that i'm hoping he reprises for the third one. it was almost identical to his Battlestar character without the fraks
I'm just through season 2 of BSG on Netflix. I never saw it the first time around for some reason. I've heard the ending of the show is "devisive" or "disappointing" I hope that's not the case.
Love the Edward James Olmos Adama, it's too bad we won't see him again. That last BSG movie he was in didn't sell too well.

Thanks for bringing up the The Plan. I wish I hadn't have been so stoked to rush out and buy it. And I sprang for the Blu Ray. FML.

I just finished watching BSG all the way through, and starting at the end of season 3 and throughout the last season, there are so many twists that seem to break the rules of how things 'should be' that I can see some people not liking some part of it or another.
Trust me, there will be times that you will want to scream at the screen and say "That can't be right!" but in the end, almost everything that happens, does so in a way that is believable with how everything else seems to "work" within the BSG setting. All said, I was very satisfied with the ending.

Reason: added a season for some reason

Maybe I would have been ok with the ending if it weren't for the fact they had the PERFECT ending halfway through the final season.
I won't say what that scene was (for those of us that watched it will know, Hack&Lube you'll know when you see it).
