Didn't you know the white man knows better than the minorities about these things? Centuries of oppressing people of color have clearly given a special insight into how we should feel about things.

Or the notion that there is a "black opinion" or "Native American opinion" on any given issue, as if the opinions and experiences of any sub-set of society are not going to be on a spectrum. I think Tootoo does a good job of alluding to that.
The idea that there has to be a consensus opinion before something should be considered hurtful is ridiculous. You don't need to hurt every single member of a marginalized group before it creates a problem for society as whole.

Tootoo does a great job absolutely.
And while I agree with your sentiment, but because everyone has different opinions about something, someone is always going to be offended. Take Aunt Jemima syrup, I never once looked at it and took offense to it, in fact, I don't know anyone who has. I feel like sometimes if you are the extreme minority (in opinion) that sometimes you have to accept it and not push your agenda over hurt feelings. There are always things in life we don't like.

These sorts of changes should be made not exclusively on determining nature and level of "offense." I think you are right that the Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben depictions are likely not altogether offensive, but I think legitimate objections can be raised on the basis of what we wish project as a society. I think there is in the images and also the names a sense of lionising or white-washing American slavery by presenting them as innocuous cultural tropes. Objection on those grounds is sound, in my opinion.

That's well said.

I was referring to this.
As for the 1 in 10, I don’t know. Someone’s always gonna be upset, I guess? Can’t make everyone happy. Also, I don’t personally care if they change the name. I was just bringing up the survey for discussion.
Sensitive times we live in. I’ll get everyone some tissue.

You seem to imply that 10% is an insignificant minority if I read your sentiment correctly, "someone" is always going to be upset. We're talking about 500k Americans, 700k including Canadians which is certainly their market. We're in multitude of millions if considering North America.
So by the numbers, it is a measurable and meaningful number of people let alone the fact that we're measuring the ridiculous concept that we should have a poll to see if it's okay to be racists.

Warriors seem like a really dumb name to choose. I think that is what Snyder will go for.

The Washington Redskins will officially announce Monday morning that they will be changing their nickname, though no new name will be revealed just yet, a source confirmed Sunday night.
It had been widely expected that Washington would change its name and one source said Saturday night that an announcement of a new name would come soon.
Sports Business Daily, which first reported Monday's official announcement, reported that the new name would not be announced Monday because trademark issues are pending

If they do go with Warriors, I can see the logo being a W with the feathers from the current logo
