Yes when Philly was trying to get rid of Hayes. It got nasty I think, they ended up trading him at 50% retained for a 6th round pick.

I saw rumors around Sanheim for Krug during the last offseason. It would've been a terrible trade for PHI. Glad Sanheim got his game back under Torts.

Remember when Philly couldn't give Sanaheim away for free ? Man what a time.

I'd be perfectly okay with an Andersson trade that Brought in a good center prospect. I'm thinking along the line of Lambert, Wright, that Boston kid that got hurt last year. Along those lines. They're ready for the show but haven't made it, made it.

There's not a lot of NHL centers who are young, worth less than Andersson, yet have NHL experience:
Kent Johnson, Frank Nazar, Ridly Greig, Thomas Bordeleau, Marco Rossi, Matthew Poitras, Cole Perfetti?

Poitras was the Boston one I was thinking about. Yeah.

I still like the idea of Andersson for Lambert and Heinola.

A 1st round pick is a must in any Andersson trade.

Rossi was rumored on the block already and probably closest to fitting the bill. I don't know if Rasmus is really what they're looking for with Faber in the mix there though.
Johnson is another interesting one. Hasn't looked great at NHL level but the talent is there. Again, not sure Columbus is keen on paying out more than Johnson for a RD.
I'd love Wright but I just like his playstyle. I am not sure he has great NHL upside at this point, and again I don't really see impetus for Seattle to move him in a trade for Rasmus.
Rasmus is a good target for a contender or near contender. What about Detroit for Kasper (+)?

Rossi probably tops out as a 2nd or 3rd line centre. Which is OK. I like him. Had a real hard time with COVID that slowed down his development.
You probably are going to have to draft your #1 centre, so focusing on getting a guy that can be #2 or #3 isn't bad.
Perfetti is also another interesting name.
Not a fan of Poitras at all. I think he's a product of Boston's system and isn't actually that good. His play against his peer groups has always been a concern.

Looks like the 3 teams ahead of Seattle made the right call passing on Wright, he doesn't seem to have the stuff.

Cole Perfetti or Kent Johnson would be amazing. Both are going to pop soon. Perfetti and the Jets are having trouble ironing out a new contract, so they might want to be rid of the headache.

I would LOVE this scenario. He's gonna be a good one- plays a smart two-way game with speed and a bit of power. I thought he was primarily a winger, but I just saw him listed at C. Detroit has a ton of good prospects in the pipeline, so they might be willing to part with one.

If the Flames somehow can't get a projected top 6 center or top 4 defenceman in the return, I'd prefer the Flames push for picks. Moving out a top 4 defenceman who is among the top 30 defenceman in the entire NHL that comes with the intangibles that Andersson has for a bottom 6 forward or something would be pretty terrible.

I like all 3 players drafted ahead of him more, but that doesn't mean that he won't be a valuable player.
The issue is he was hyped too much to the point that he can't deliver on those expectations. But I think he can still be a #2 centre in the NHL.
I think the issue for Seattle is that neither Beniers or Wright will be a strong enough #1. They feel more like good #2s to me.

The Jets and flames aren't really historical trade partners, but I don't actually see a huge impediment to Perfetti- Rasmus as a base. They need some solid d and are trying to be competitive. They have Yager, Barlow, and Lambert right behind him so they aren't bereft.
I think it's an interesting one.

sounds like the same problem we have always had haha.
I also can't see the Blue Jackets to keen on trading Johnson due to recent events, and trading Laine with a pick.
