Calgary transit again. Bus randomly just doesn't bother showing up. I guess I'm driving in instead tomorrow / Wednesday. I mean, I really do try, but it's embarrassingly terrible.

Why must rednecks almost always have massive dogs that bark at everything? House sitting for my sis a couple days this week, I can't even go into the back yard without the yokel neighbour's 2 large dogs losing their minds through the fence.

It's a fat person medicine from what I could learn from the ad. If you aren't bigger I wouldn't bother wasting your Doctor's time.

My doctor is fat, he isn't on Rybelsus. Has he talked to another doctor about Rybelsus?

The other day the driver of the dedicated Calgary Transit bus for my son's school decided to take a break and go to the convenience store, resulting in all of the students on the bus being late for school.

We had an old battle axe of a driver who drove us for 11 years. Deaf as a post, but got us there and back every day. Made you put in a good run if you missed her at your usual spot.
Anyway for grade 12 we got a guy (Mike) who decided it would be a good idea to pull the bus over on the way to school and read us passages from the bible.
I wasn’t as militantly atheist as i am now mind you, but I still reported that S to the principal. Mike didn’t get fired right away. And to be fair, we shouldn’t have put up a sign saying “F-Mike” in the back which is why I had an opportunity to talk to the principal in the first place.
But yeah. Busses suck for the most part in NA.

My son was telling me a story about a transit driver that got stressed out because people were getting frustrated at his abnormally long stops at every busstop, so eventually the driver just got off the bus and left.

Your question was Did it permanently alter behaviours. It clearly does. I agree with you it could be much more effectively implemented as other studies show much more significant reductions than Alberta had.
But also for reducing 1/20 fatal collisions for the cost of redistributing tax dollars (minus people who fight them and camera costs) that doesn’t seem like a terrible cost benefit.

But it is good and it doesn't need any chemical additives. The process works by having an electromagnetic field changing the calcification structure in the water on a molecular level. No maintenance, no supplies needed.
Calgary water is extremely hard, especially, if you live in the Glenmore Reservoir range, so a decent water softener is still needed to bring the hardness down to a normal range, but this is where the trade-offs begin, as too much salt in your water is not a good thing for cardio health, which means you have to leave a couple of faucets for drinking water on a by-pass, plus buying salt and softener cleansers every so often etc.
|
Thanks for this. Water softener is on the fritz, not sure it's making a big difference these days, despite doing some maintenance on it. i may give this product a whirl.

Well...you've got copper lying about...hey, does your truck still have its catalytic converters? If I'm going to rob you I thought about making it a two-for-one type deal.

my first thought was "that's not even enough for a tank of gas"... which then made me think of a guy that works at the kelowna costco who had his gas tank drilled and drained while he was working a few nights ago.
easy come, easy go i guess?

Was he an older Caucasian guy who wore glasses and spoke with a slight speech impediment by any chance? When he spoke he didn't have a full on lisp, but would speak as if he had tiny remnants of a lisp. How many bus driving, bible reading Mike can there be?
We used to piss him off by saying that he liked staring into other vehicles at the "ladies with the big jugs". This pissed him off to no end and he'd constantly say he "would never do something so immoral".

Alter behaviors "in a large enough sample" to which the answer then is clearly still no given the results. My whole argument has been that photo radar is a revenue generating tool and the 'safety' argument is largely nonsense, and you're just proving my point for me.
