need some more grit on my team. For my final Right Wing, Team Toe blake chooses Mike Keane
Michael "Mike" Keane (born May 29, 1967 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player for the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Mike Keane signed as a free agent on the 25th of September, 1985, with the Montreal Canadiens and started his NHL career in 1988. He spent 8 seasons in Montreal and was captain of the team from April 1995 to December 1995. During the 1995–96 NHL season, Keane was traded along with Patrick Roy to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Jocelyn Thibault, Andrei Kovalenko and Martin Rucinsky. In the summer of 1997, Keane signed as a free agent with the New York Rangers, where he played for half a season before being traded again to the Dallas Stars. Keane played in Dallas until 2000–01, helping the Stars win the Stanley Cup in 1999 and return to the finals the next year. He started the 2001–02 NHL season with the St. Louis Blues but finished that season back with Colorado. Keane stayed in Colorado until he left for Vancouver at the start of the 2003–04 NHL season.
At the start of the 2005–06 NHL season, Keane signed with his hometown Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League under a pro tryout contract, and is now a full member of the team, as well as their captain. He was named captain of the AHL All-Star Team Canada for the 2006–2007 season.
He is a 3-time Stanley Cup winner, having won with the 1993 Canadiens, 1996 Avalanche, and again in 1999 as a member of the Dallas Stars. He is one of only eight players in NHL history to win the Stanley Cup with three different teams. [1]
Mike Keane has also played in the American Hockey League (AHL) for the Sherbrooke Canadiens, the Western Hockey League (WHL) for the Moose Jaw Warriors and Winnipeg Warriors, and the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) for the Winnipeg South Blues.

I was trying to think of another premier shutdown RW after Lehtinin was taken and I couldn't come up with one...well, there's one.
And how come most of the premier shutdown forwards were Habs? Claude Provost, Bob Gainey, Guy Carbonneau, Doug Jarvis, Mike Keane...
great pick

A key player in the now-legendary games against the NHL, Ragulin was usually given what he called the "unenviable task" of going up against Phil Esposito.

For Defenseman #5, Team Toe Blake continues to add grit with Dave Manson
My Favourite Manson story? When he was a Hab, Matthew Barnaby was doing his usual crap. Dave dropped the gloves. Barnaby, of course, turtled. Manson held him up with one arm and pummeled him with the other. A beautiful thing. His voice has never recovered from 2 different shots to the throat from when he played. Here's a good article:
http://www2.canada.com/topics/sports...27c214&k=97054
wiki:
Manson played junior hockey with his hometown Prince Albert Raiders in the Western Hockey League. Manson was drafted 11th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft and joined the team a year later. He also played for the Edmonton Oilers, Winnipeg Jets/ Phoenix Coyotes, Montreal Canadiens, Dallas Stars and Toronto Maple Leafs. He retired in 2002 with 390 points and 2792 penalty minutes in 1103 career NHL games. Since his retirement he has been an assistant coach back with the Prince Albert Raiders. Dave Manson also owns the restaurant franchise, Extreme Pita, in the Cornerstone complex

We'll carry on for now since there still some resemblance of an order.
Windom added to the AK list (there's no room left in the title)
Aeneas, Berger and Cyclone are next.
----
and since cyclone mentioned it... what do you mean Aeneas has too many centers?

Are the people who apparently dropped out still posting in the other forums? I understand time restraints and whatnot, but a free-for-all with 2 rounds left is lame. If it has to come to that, I have no choice but to agree. It just sucks that it'd have to end that way.

It always ends that way. Even the hottie draft was a freeforall at the end!
And I think FanIn80 is gone.. I'll take over his team at midnight

He emailed you after he picked Nilsson...he oops. He has Mario, Perreault, Ratelle, Otto, and Nilsson...that'd be 5. I'm okay making Nilsson a RW ... or being a hard a$$ and forcing him to dump Nilsson. Hey, your call.

We'll leave him at RW since he did play there in his Edmonton days.
How do you know Aeneas emailed me?

A little birdie named Aeneas told me. I tried to arrange a trade, but can you imagine? He wouldn't take John Lecliar for Mario Lemieux!

Thank You! I knew he played RW with Messier and Anderson, but I didn't want that evidence to come to light.
My failing memory thought he played the right side with Chouinard at center, but I guess not. Was a long time ago.
