Well that was a bad call on that first fly ball that was caught. That started it all. But no excuses. That's two blown 3 run games in the last 3 games. Can't do that.
BJ Ryan is indeed missed on this team despite solid seasons for the most part from the kids.

Well typical of Gibbons making the absolute wrong call. On Saturday Burnett is breezing not giving up anything....yet he's on the bench in the 9th? Tonight Halladay battles all night pitching out of trouble and he brings him out for the 9th (plus consider he's thrown 100+ pitches for like 6 straight starts). Us Internet nerds could run a better team than Gibbons is right now.

Well, the Burnett pull I totally understand. His recent shoulder troubles put him at too high of a risk of re-injury and that point of the game, he had already thrown over 110 pitches (I believe). As our #2, he's too valuable to be put in that situation, considering that he's been relatively injury-prone. Accardo blew Burnett's win, plain and simple.
However, tonight was just poor management. Just one example of many this season.

I see the excuses are going to be coming out in full force this off season.

Blue Jays reward John McDonald with a new two year contract. This guy has been a rock and deserves this.

Doesn't have a huge bat, but he's been absolutely unreal defensively, especially in the 2nd half of this season. Every night the guy is making fantastic plays.
1.9 million a year?............Fine with me.

Well I don't think there were any potential upgrades on McDonald slated to hit the free agency market this coming offseason (Unless you include ARod, but he'll be 30+ million a year as a free agent). He is good with the glove but I think his OBSP is like .600 which is about as puny as it gets in MLB.

Well for all the flack I've given Burnett for not being able to stay healthy, he's pitched better than the Jays ever could have dreamed since he's been off the DL. Unfortunately I think his record is what 3-1 because he's had no run or bullpen support. The guy has great stuff, if only he could be healthy, and consistant...

I'm wondering if JP's complaint when Burnett went on the DL last time may put some fire in Burnett's belly?

Looks like the Jays want their chance to run up the score on the Orioles.
Bottom of the first, 4-0, 0 out, Stairs and Hill on 2nd & 3rd, first 6 hitters on board, and now there is a pitching change.
Edit:Now Zaun cashes in the runners but is out trying to stretch it into a double.
