Well, I certainly didn't have #361 ranked Lois Boisson knocking out Jessica Pegula just now.

Live rankings has Lois Boisson at #120 - 241 places higher than where she started at the French Open).

Bublik just broke Draper at love to start set 4 (already up two sets to one). Just in the zone at the moment playing sublime tennis.

There's never been a question regarding Bublik's talent, it's always been a question of between the ears and how much he wants to invest in the match. That said, his head almost got in the way in that final service game lol.

He's somewhat similar to Shapo in that he's got all the talent in the world but is missing something between the ears and his level of GAF at times can be pretty low.

I don't even think Bweh played badly (set 3 he played great), Sinner is just that good.

He's kind of nearing that stage of being clinically good at taking care of business. Almost robotic compared to Alcaraz.

It's too bad that Iga vs. Aryna will be a semi-final, but it promises to be a blockbuster match. I think Aryna has a chance to snap Iga's winning streak at the French Open.

TNT: "We though this was the year for the Americans"

Really, did anybody truly think that Tiafoe had a chance to beat Musetti today? Does anybody really think that Paul will beat Charlie later today?

The only chance for Tiafoe today was if Musetti would have been defaulted for kicking a ball that did hit a lineswoman. Looking at the video, there was certainly a case to be made for defaulting Lorenzo. I guess the umpire deemed it not to be worthy of default.

You can't control a kick unless you're Messi.

Very tame, Djokovic should have never been defaulted either but the US Open lineswoman collapsed. This one didn't even flinch.

I agree that it was quite tame and I think the linesperson's reaction certainly impacts whether or not the umpire will default a player.

He's reaching Big 3 level "could have been an email" level of efficiency, but I do find his play style more fun to watch than Djokovic's. There are similarities in rally tolerance and consistently high pressure shot depth and angle and rock solid serving, but Carrot has more aggression and can win more points outright, as opposed to drawing errors or weak put-aways.

It still bothers me that Djokovic lost that match to Zverev at the Tokyo Olympics. He can go a long way in making amends by beating the domestic abuser on Wednesday.

Paul is obviously hurt. He would have retired if this wasn't a night match
