Wow, I had no idea that Habs fans were so outraged. I feel sorry for Reinbacher. I didn't think it was a bad pick considering how much Reinbacher has been trending over the season.

I was told Thursday that Pierre-Luc Dubois mentioned this in weighing his decision between following his heart to Montreal or following his head to Los Angeles, and another front office source took that a step further.

“We’re trying to make Montreal a place players want to play,” he said, “and this stuff definitely doesn’t help.”

As you can see by the outrage in Montreal the Flames fan base it pretty tame in comparison. People would be upset but clearly not to the point the Flames would be considering having him play in Europe. It just goes to show why Canadian fans are their own worst enemies at times.
