Really?
Dion has vocally been supportive of the NDP and critical of the UCP but you are willing to toss him to the curb because he doesn't like how a poster was treated?

That's your interpretation. If you don't like what he posts don't read.
I think she eventually will. They likely have a succession plan. Who that candidate is, remains to be seen.

I mean, Yoho is a clown. Maybe he should pick a better hill to die on.

Are they really gonna run her back for a fourth election? It will have been 12 years since her last win in 2027. But, on the other hand, the NDP platform seemed to me to just be a personality cult around her so maybe she's all they've got.

I look forward to all the people calling Alberta racist, vile, changed, embarrassing ...etc etc after this win acting on their words and vacating the province. We live in Canada, you have the pick of the litter on going to any lefty jurisdiction you want where you can pay more personal taxes, get some sick public union jobs, and have disastrous green energies mandated onto your grid. Why stay in the only corner of the country where there's a shred of conservatism that bothers you so? Instead of being miserable the next four years just leave.

I don’t think you read the first post of that post. The thread wasn’t about getting Yoho banned it was limiting the people who respond to him. It was made after he took his schtick to the Ukraine thread and people just derailed what I think is a fairly important thread.

Makes no difference we just saw elections are only down to jerseys and supporting your team, policies, leaders, MLAs don’t matter.

If Notley goes, the NDP in the province becomes as irrelevant a party as the Liberals have degenerated into the last elections...and she knows that.

Why would I insult you? You're defending one of the most ridiculous posters for the last six months. It's perplexing and strange. For a senior poster who can weed through the ####, defending him and the things that come out of his digital mouth is a head scratcher.

Maybe I am too optimistic but I actually do believe MLAs and MPs do have a say and do have their voice heard.

Don’t stand up to Singh. Embrace him. He is the party leader. Maybe he should lead the NDP in the next provincial election. Hahaha

The honest questions is that politics has given way to something more akin to sports fandom. It's entirely irrational at this point.

And no, I have no practical solution at top of mind to change it.

Rachel Notley is the perfect person to lead this party despite the outcome.

I didn't vote UCP (but usually do). That said it is stupid policy meant to be red meat for the base. Referendums are good in some cases but not most. For 90%+ of the issues the referendum is on election day IMO.

The UCP has a long road ahead of them to rebuild trust in Calgary. They lost a ton of ground. 2027 will be interesting, especially as Calgary gets more cosmopolitan and demographics change over the next several years.

Singh and Notley have one thing in common IMO they are tickled pink to lose as long as they stay on as leaders.

That's part of what happens when politics are discussed. Things get heated and posters sometimes say things they regret later. That wasn't a comment I expected from Ozy.
