Danny Austin is tweeting that some key Stamps players are missing from practice due to COVID and pneumonia. Those players include Ka'deem Carey, Jameer Thurman, and Derek Dennis.

Yeah, not good at all - Bombers are missing some key guys as well though from practice.
In Winnipeg, receiver Greg Ellingson (hip), defensive lineman Jackson Jeffcoat (hip), running back Johnny Augustine (ankle) and receiver Carlton Agudosi (ankle) were among those who did not participate in practice on Tuesday.

Injuries are going to happen but the Bombers don't have a bye week until week 10. It's ridiculous some teams will have had 2 before our first one.

I'm pretty sure that will likely end up being an advantage for the Bombers who will get rest down the stretch. It's borderline useless to have two bye weeks after only playing 5 games. Now that key Stampeders have COVID this bye week was extra useless and kills any advantage the Stampeders may have had going into the game.
